Pertaineth (i.e. belongs) the Glory

whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and theservice
of God,
and the promises;  Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is

I.  Who Pertaineth (belongs to)[0]

 
    A.  Paul's "kinsmen according to the flesh: Who are Israelites"
were given (i.e. committed / entrusted
           with
as a steward)
[0]the glory(that filled the Tabernacle - Exod.40:1-38, Rom.8:18, 2Cor.3:1-18,
            Eph.2:22; 4:11-16, 5:21-32, Phil.3:1-8, Heb.9:1-28; 10:1-25, 1Peter.1:10-12 / Acts.3:18-24,
            Rev.10:7; 11:15)

           1.  This was because of the covenant that God made with Abraham

                 a.  God was not respecting their person.

                There was a
"Glory" of the ministration of death, (that pertained the his kinsmen (Israelites)
                after the flesh) but there is a ministration of the Spirit that is far greater than the
"Glory" that
                Moses experienced.   This is "the hope of Glory" in the saints (Jew and Gentile together as ONE
                MAN, ONE PLAN)
(Exod.34:33, Rom.8:18, 2Cor.3:1-18, Eph.5:26-27, 1Peter.1:10-12)
This is confirmed
                by the Vail / Veil of the Temple being "rent" (ripped in two Matt.27:50-51), revealing the God's Glory /
                presence was gone

                earlier.

II.  The first mention (History) of theglory

     A.  Was when the
glory of the Lord; appeared in the cloud. (Exod.16:7-10)
     B.  After (the church in the wilderness
Acts.7:38, 1Cor.10:1-11) arrived at Mt. Sinai “the gloryof
           the Lord abode upon mount Sinai, and the
cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he
           (God) called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
(Exodus 19:1, 16; 24:16, Gal.4:21-31,
            Heb.12:18-24
)  

     C.  The sight of theglory of the Lord was like devouring fire on the top of The mount in the eyes of the  
          children of Israel.

     D.  NOTE: The New Testament Church is told NOT to “ignore”[0] that they (the Church in
          the wilderness
Acts.7:38) were all “baptized under Moses in the cloud”(Exod.12-14, 1Cor.10:1-11, Rom.15:4,
            2Tim.3:16-17

           cloud

                b.  For the knowledge that the first man Adam and Eve was created on the 6th day.

                c.   They knew about the Garden of Eden. (It was still there for all to see)
                d.  They knew there needed to be the shedding of blood to cover their sin.

Sanctuary"

and now man has been driven out from God's Presence.

                c.  "But God who is rich in mercy"

                      Now God was
God has been “unfolding”[0] His “intent” (Purpose Prov.28:19, Heb.10:25) that
           was fore-ordained since the beginning / foundation of the World.

Peter writes, "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed
           with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your
           fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:  Who verily
           was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you."
           (1Peter.1:18-20)

           1.  He (God) created the heavens and the earth in six days and rested on the
7th day. (Gen.1:1-31; 2:1-24,

           2.  The first man Adam was created on the six day and Eve was formed and brought to the
                first man Adam to be his wife.

           3.  Adam and Eve Walked and talked with God in the cool of the evening.  It could be said that

                      unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof.

                e.   Note: The generations that followed until Noah and the FLOOD.

IINow comes the thought of theGlory in the cloud     


      A.  God lead them with a cloud towards Mt. Sinai

           1.  God took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before
                the people.

           2.  First mention of “the
glory of the Lord” in the cloud(Exod.16:10; 24:16)           
           3.  They arrived at Mt. Sinai and Moses went up upon the Mountain in 3rd. month on the 16th day.

50 days after Passover on the 14th day of the first month / Midnight  they left (Exod.12:19).               
                b.  They arrived at Sinai in the third (3rd.) month, when  Moses went up into the Mountain on the (16th
                     day of the 3rd. month = 50 days. (30 days to a month)     
      B.  Moses was given the 10 commandments
(Exod.20:1-17)      
      C.  Moses was also
(Exod.25:8) given the pattern of the Tabernacle on the mount. (Exod.19-40, Heb.8:5)
          
This was crucial because God wanted todwell amongst them(Exod.25:8; 40:1-38,Heb.8:5)  In order
           for God to “dwell amongst them” the entire Tabernacle needed to be built (completed / finished) and set
           in it’s PLACE.




    













III.  Now God was expanding man’s understanding of how to approach God’s  presence.                     
       A.  From Adam to Moses
(Rom.5:10-14 / Review: Page 3-6)                     
            1.  God had created the heaven and the earth.
(Gen.1:1)
            2.  On the 6th day created man (Adam) and woman (Eve)
Gen.1:26-31, 1Cor.15:45, Eph.5:21-32)

Sin entered the world, Adam and Eve fell (Gen.3:1-24, 2Cor.11:1-4)                                                 
            4.  They tried to cover themselves, but failed

            5.  God pronounced judgment upon Adam
(Gen.3:17-19) Eve (Gen.3:16) and the serpent

                 d.  But they (Adam and Eve) were driven out from from God’s presence.

                      NOTE:  God rejected the fig leaf aprons (All things are naked and open unto the eyes of him with                       whom we have to do”

            7.  Now The first man Adam (and his wife) were outside the Garden along with all humanity that   
                 was to follow.
(Rom.3:23; 5:12)                          
                 a.  But they were covered by the shed blood of substitutionary animal sacrifices
                     
(Gen.3:21-24, Heb.9:13-14; 10:11)                          
                 b.  Bringing offerings to the Lord.
(Gen.4:1-4)                              

                      NOTE: God respected Abel’s offering but rejected Cains bloodless Offering / fruit of the
                      “cursed” ground.
(Gen.4:1-4, Heb.11:5)                              

                      NOTE:  God smelled thesweet smelling savor” of the burn’t offering.
(Gen.8:20-21 / Eph.5:1-2,
                        Rom.5:10-12; 7:1-14, Lev.1:9; 2:2; 3:5; 31)    
                          

                 c.  This continued until Noah and the THE FLOOD
(Gen.6-7)
                 d.  After the flood Noah continued with Offerings.                                
                      (1)  And NOW the offerings are to be offered upon an Altar
(Gen.8:20-22; 9:1-29) Not 
                            mentioned with Cain’s or Abel’s Offering                                     
                      (2)  We know this offering on the Altar was accepted because God did NOT reject Noah’s offering.                              (God “smelled a sweet savor” form the offering “and God said in His heart I will not curse the                              ground any more for man’s sake.offering. He was looking ahead to the “sweet smelling savor of                              “Christ (the Lamb) of God  taking away the sin of the world.
(1Peter.1:18-20)                                           (3)  “Nevertheless” death / sin still passed upon ALL men but the blood offerings covers the sin                             until JESUS PAID THE PRICE ON THE CROSS (1Cor.6:19-20)                                
                      (4)  When I see the blood I will passover that House

                      (5)  Abram (Abraham) did the same

                            it is to approach God’s presence and glory!

IV.  This is what was required
for God to dwell amongst them(with
His presence / glory) among them
       (i.e. The Church in the wilderness)
(Exod.25:8, 40, Heb.8:5)    
       A.  The same requirements (in their reality / completion / fulfillment) are required (according to
            the pattern) to be in placebefore He (God) to dwell among us (The Church Local
[0] and Universal[0])      
       B.  It is Requiredbecause the Law is a shadow of  “good things to come” (The New Testament Church).   

             (Matt.5:17-19 /  Acts.3:22 / Matt.16:18; Mark.15:58; 1Cor.6:19, Eph.2:20-22 / Gal.1:11-12, Heb.9:1-28; 10:1)

       C.  Remember what Moses said
[0] (who received “the pattern” of the Tabernacle Exod.25:8, Heb.8:1-5)
            “a prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you
[0] of your brethren,[0] like unto me;
           
(Heb.3:1-6) Him (JESUS / MESSIAH) shall ye hear
[0]in all things whatsoever he shall say unto             
            you.”

       D.  What did JESUS (The Son Heb.1:1-2) say?             
              He said “I have come to fulfill the Law” (which includes the Tabernacle of Moses”
              down to the “jot”
[0] and “tittle”[0](Matt.5:17-19, Rom.8:1-4)

             NOTE: These examples
These examples  of how Jesus (the only begotten SON
               [Heb.1:1-2] fulfilled the Laws in the Tabernacle that housed God's Glory.

































              1.  To confirm this Jesus (through the Holy Ghost (Spirit of truth / Comforter John.16:10-15) showed
                   the two on the way to Emmaus ALL the scriptures (i.e. The Law, Prophets, Psalms) concerning Himself
                  
(Luke.24:27-45, Acts.1:1-4) and afterwards (Luke.24:32-46) opened the rest of the disciples to the Law,
                   Prophets and Psalms.

                   a.  This was after His resurrection when He taught things that pertain to the kingdom of God                         Therefore this makes the type of the Old Testament Temple and it’s reality relevant to Kingdom of
                        God / Heaven which is in the Holy Ghost.

                   b.  Later when Saul was saved (Acts.9:1-20), he was taught directly by Jesus Christ. (Gal.1:11-12)                         Therefore this chart is what God is speaking today by “the Son” (Heb.1:1-12, John.16:10-15

Tabernacle of Moses                    and Tabernacle of David.

NOTE: BEFORE THE GLORY FILLED THE MOST HOLY PLACE, all these pieces of Tabernacle
                                   furniture was set in their place “according to the pattern shewed to Moses in the Mount.

               a.  SHILOH(Joshua.18:1)     
                    (1)  This was the place the Tabernacle was set up for the last time under the leadership of Joshua    
                         
  (Josh.18:1) where it remained during all the period of the judges. (The Book of Judges)     
                    (2)  After the death of Joshua and the elders God’s people relapsed into idolatry, followed by invasions
                          of the Promised land.

Nothing mentioned about the Tabernacle in Shiloh

                           (a)  The Tabernacle was still in Shiloh, neglected and corrupted

                           (b)  Eli was the high priest (who honored his over the holiness of the Tabernacle

                           (c)  His sons were the priesthood, but they were “sons of Belial; they knew not the Lord”

                           (d)  This period of time was a dark time in Israel’s History for men abhorred (to detest; by
                                 implication, to reject:—abhor, fail, lothe, vilely cast away) the offering of the Lord.                     

                                  It should be noted that in the middle of all this corruption / pollution God working to
                                  raise up Samuel to be a mighty prophet to bring restoration to the Nation of Israel according
                                  to His PURPOSE BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD.           

                           (e)  This deterioration of the high priest and priesthood gave the “advantage”
(2Cor.2:11) to the                                  Philistines that came and “put themselves in array (lined up in battle formation) against Israel”                                  (1Sam.4:1-3)              
                           (f)  When Israel saw this “array” they said let us fetch the Ark of the Covenant.
(1 Sam.4:1-11)                                  This was a disaster and the Ark of the Covenant was taken captive. (NOTE: Jer.7:12,14; 26:4-9)                                  “…the glory is departed from Israel: for the Ark of God is taken.”(1Sam.4:22)
                          (g)  During this time (of the Ark being in captivity

VI.  Now the Glory returns but not to an earthly Temple        

        After six days Jesus taketh (takes) Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth
        (brings) them up into an high mountain apart  And was transfigured before them:
        and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.  And, behold,
        there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.  Then answered Peter,
        and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here
        three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.While he yet
        spake, behold, a brightcloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the
        cloud,
[0] which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.”

b.  “Hear ye Him”/ He that hath an let him hear. JESUS is saying that He is the reality of Temple

             2.  The Pharisees were THINKING \ NATURAL TEMPLE
(John.2:18-20)                      

                  a.  It is the same today. Many are still thinking[0] that God is going to sanction an earthly rebuilt                        (third) Temple of God in Jerusalem in the last days.                   
                 b.  Haggai prophesied that “the latter house” (which has not been fulfilled yet
Haggai.2:1-9) will be                        nothing in comparison to the earthly Temple in Solomon’s day. (NOTE: 2Cor.3:1-18, Rom.8:18)
            3.  When JESUS wascut off (crucified) but not for Himself”
(Dan.9:26, 2Cor.5:21), the Vail of the (earthly)
                
Temple was rent (split) in twain (two) revealing that God’s Glory was not there. In fact, JESUS said    
                  (Heb.1:1-2)
before He was “cut off,” (crucified) that the earthly Temple would be left desolate and not
                 one stone left upon another.

            4.  The House of Judah (Jews) continued to reject CHRIST as the MESSIAH, putting their trust in the
                 natural Temple and animal sacrifices

Vail had been rent and God’s glory / presence was not there.[0]                   
                 a.  By this time they had added to and diminished from God’s Law, elevating writing’s (commentary
                      / traditions of the
Oral Torah, Talmud, Mishanna, Mishrash, and  Gemara  to have the same authority
                      as the Law of Moses.                   
                 b.  JESUS said,
(Heb.1:1-2) “Why do you (scribes and Pharisees) transgress the commandment of
                      God by your tradition? You have made the commandment    of none effect by your tradition…
                      teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

            5.  This was happening (from the Cross to 70 AD) when their Temple was desolated) while Jesus
                 was building His House / Temple / Church

IV.  This pattern was continued and expanded in Solomon’s Temple and the  Glory filled the Temple.

            1.  Haggai, Isaiah            
            2.  Daniel prophesied that MESSIAH with come (revealed) and cut off. God had  already

IV.    Who were tribe of Benjamin?
