"For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as  the serpent beguiled Eve (Gen.3:1-7) through his subtilty, so your mindsshould be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ" (2Cor.11:1-4). This warning is still in effect todaybecause the Marriage of Christ and His Church has not happen yet. We are only espoused. Any involvement (friendship) with the wisdom of this world (1John.2:16, 1Cor.2:1-14, Col.2:6-8) is spiritual adultery (James.4:4), which (according to the Levitical pattern of Marriage Deut.24:1, Lev.21:10-15

Matt.5:17-19, Heb.3:1) will disqualify us from being His Bride. It is only God's (unadulterated) inspired patternsand Laws that will present us as a chaste virgin to Christ (2Tim.3:16-17). This Phase two is the first of three patterns  (Phase 2, 4, 8, 9, 11) that the Spirit of God will guide(John.16:10-14) the Church into being espousedto one husbandas a chaste virgin to Christ.

PHASE 2 reveals how God has foreshadowed in the
language of the Old Testament the pattern for building
and presenting His
"espoused""chaste / virgin"  Bride to the Lord Jesus Christ. We need to watch and pray "lest by
any meansas the serpent beguiled Eve (Gen.3:1-7) through his subtilty, so your minds
(Rom.12:1-2, 2Cor.10:4) should be corrupted from the simplicity (of the pattern) that is in Christ" (2Cor.11:1-4).

God has recorded inGenesis to Revelation ONE PLAN and ONE PURPOSE that has been "hid since the world began" (Eph.3:1-12).  This chart below illustrates how each book from Genesis to Revelation tells how God's redemptive plan / purpose has unfolded book by book.  When coming into the New Testament (Covenant) Paul the apostle and wise master builder (1Cor.3:10) says, "Now all these things (The Law / Tabernacle / High Priest / Priesthood / Offerings / Psalm's / the Prophets) happened unto them (the children of Israel) as enamples or types: and they are written for our (the Churches) admonition" (1Cor.10:11).

This study is our "launching-pad" so-to-speak. It is our foundation and framework for all of the other Phases (3-12). The children of Israel leaving Egypt and possessing the Land, is a picture (i.e. "ensample" or type (1Cor.10:11) of what God has done, what He is presently doing, and where He is yet to take the Church, the Bride of Christ / Eve (Gen.12:1; 15:13-21, Exod.12:1-15 / 1 Cor.5:7-8) Deut.12:1-12, 1 Chron.17:1-15; 22:1-19, 2 Chron.5:1-14 / Eph.2:20-22, 1 Cor.10:1-11). This chart gives a brief summary.

The apostle Paul wrote, "Whatsoever things that were written aforetime (the Old Testament) were written for our (the Churches) learning, that we through patience and comfort of the (Old Testament) scriptures might have hope" (Rom.15:4, Gal.1:11-12, 2 Tim.3:16).  This is the first of three patterns that overlay each other confirming that God is working according to a deliberate plan and purpose. (The other two patterns are found in, PHASE 4, (The Tabernacle of Moses) and PHASES 8911 (The Feasts of Israel).
