I. The Lion, Leopard, Bear and the 4th Beast

First a review of what Daniel is seeing. Daniel is seeing a vision of the Gentile Nations from Babylon,
to Media-Persia, to Greece, to the 4th Beast (Rome)
(Dan.2:1-9, 31-45; 8 :1-27) and reaching over to the last
day kingdoms and to Second Coming. This period of time is called "the times of the Gentiles
[11](Nations,
Heathens, those that are "aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the
covenants  of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world"
Eph. 2:12).

    A. The first beast was like a Lion "that shall arise"(Dan.7:4, 17)

Daniel said, "I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four
winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. And four great
beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. The first
was like a Lion and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings
thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and
made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given
            to it"
(Dan.7:1-2).

         1. The Lion had eagle'swings (Babylon)

Daniel said, "I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked

(Dan.7:4). The hair of Nebuchadnezzar grew "like eagles
                feathers"
(Dan.4:28-37, Note: v.33) and was humbled
                (Plucked) because of pride
(Dan.4:34-37).

         2. The Lion is lifted up from the earth

It "was made stand upon the feet as a man, and a
man's heart was given to it

(Dan.7:4, 34-37). After being
humbled by God, Nebuchadnezzar was placed back as king
with the understanding that God "doeth according to His will...
and none can stay His hand..."
 (Dan.4:35).

    B. Another "beast…like to a bear" (Media-Persia)

"And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had
three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much
            flesh" (Dan.7:5).

         1. The Bear raised up itself on one side.

It had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it
(Dan.7:5). This matches chapter eleven
verse two that says, "there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia"
(Dan.11:2).

         2. There was a fourth king

Chapter eleven verse two says there would be a "fourth" king "far richer than they all"
(Dan.11:2).
This caused the Bear to be "raised up on one side"
(Dan.7:5). Note: Because all of Daniel's Visions
overlay each other, it further confirms the identification of these kingdoms. (i.e. Babylon, then
Media-Persia, then Greece, then Rome and all the way to the last day kingdom side"
(Dan.7:5).

     C. Another beast like a Leopard (Greece)

After this "I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had
upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four
heads; and dominion was given to it.The Leopard had upon the
back of it four wings...also four heads. These are the four
Generals that divided up “the kingdom of Greece after
            Alexander's death.
(Review: Dan.8:1-27)

D. Behold a fourth beast, dreadful / terrible

This forth beast is Rome. We know this because it is a
historical fact. After this "I saw in the night visions,
and behold
a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong
exceedingly;
and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake
in pieces,
and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it
was diverse
from all the beasts that were before it; and it had
ten horns."

          1. Had great iron teeth

This is the "legs of iron" of the image of Nebuchadnezzar (Dan.2:33, 40).
Daniel said the fourth kingdom will be as strong as iron. (History reveals this
                to be Rome)

         2. Devoured, brake in pieces and stamped

Note the thought of "stamping" and the "feet" of  the image of Nebuchadnezzar (Dan.2:40). The
fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom on earth.

"Shall devour the whole earth" (Dan.7:23)

According to the Word of God, there has been a Roman connection from the 1st. Century until
                our present day.
This is confirmed by the two legs of iron, which will end in ten last day kingdoms.

(Review: Phase 2, Page 4 5, 6 (Samson and Church History)

Why did Daniel only see the "fourth kingdom upon the earth"
(Dan.7:23) and not the other
kingdoms during this period of time?

The reason is because the purpose of this vision was to warning the people of God of the
coming destruction that this "fourth kingdom" (Rome) would do to the Church
(Dan.2:40). Not
only did Rome persecute the Church and destroy the Jews Temple 70 AD, but it joined the Church
under Constantine and destroyed it from the inside out. This dominance continued down into the
"dark ages" until the 15th century and the Reformation. (1517 AD.) Since this time God has been
restoring His Church. However in 1881 AD. the influence of the "fourth kingdom" (Rome) was again
used to "brake and bruise" God's Church by corrupting the Word of God.

                (Review: Phase 2, Page 1, 23. 4)

3. The fourth beast had ten horns

The ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise (Dan 7:17, 24). These are the

ten toes of Nebuchadnezzar's Image (Dan.2:41-25). The apostle John saw these kings in the

                last days (Rev.12:3:13:1; 17:3, 7, 12, 16).

II. The "Little Horn"
(Dan.7:25)

"I considered the horns ( i.e. the ten horns on the fourth beast) and, behold, there came up among
       the another little horn
, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and,
behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things
(Dan.7:8). He
shall be divers from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against
       the
most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws:
and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time
(Dan 7:24-26).

  A. Key thought: "Time, times and dividing of time." (3½)

This "time, times and dividing of time" places this “little horn” as the antichrist, in the same period
             of time
(Rev.11:1-3; 12:6, 14; 13:1-5).This "little horn" has the same purpose, to "wear out the saints"

(Dan.7:25, Rev.13:1-5; ). Also, he arises out of the ten horns, (Dan.7:24-26 ten last day kingdoms),

(Dan.2:41) the ten toes, the last days.

     B. This "little horn" is different than the Dan.8:9 "little horn"

This "little horn" of Daniel chapter seven
(Dan.7:24-26) is different that the "little horn" of Daniel
              chapter eight
(Dan.8:9-12, 22-25)because their purpose is different.

    1. Note the purpose

The purpose of the "little horn" of  chapter seven is to "wear out the saints"
(Dan.7:23-28)
                  within a 3 1/2 year
[13] period, while the purpose of the "little horn” of chapter eight is to take
                  away the daily sacrifice
and destroy a natural (earthly) Temple. There is no time limit.

    2. Furthermore

Chapter seven mentions nothing of animal sacrificesor a natural (earthly) Temple "made
with hands". Neither does the Book of Revelation. This is because Jesus caused a

                  ceasing of  "sacrifice and oblation[12" (Dan.9:27, Gal.3:17, Heb.9:1-26; 10:1-10) when He

redeemed us with His shed blood (1Peter.1:18-20, Col.1:14).

III. These four kings "shall arise out of the earth"

Why would Daniel during the reign of Babylon (Dan.7:1), prophecythat Babylon (Head of Gold /
          Lion) "shall arise"
(Dan. 7:24), as well as Media-Persia (Breasts and arms / Bear), Greece (Belly and
thighs), Rome (The beasts that was dreadful, terrible and strong exceedingly)
(Dan.7:17)?The answer is
          found
 in Nebuchadnezzar's dream (
Dan.2:31-45) and in the identification marks of the beast /
          antichrist
(Rev.13:1-2).

      A. Nebuchadnezzar's dream. (Dan.2:31-45)

                  The "stone" (
The Second Coming) would "brake in pieces the iron (Rome), the brass (Greece), the
clay (the seed of men), the silver (Media-Persia) and the gold (Babylon)"
(Dan.2:45).All of these
                  kingdoms
(governments systems, culture) will be present in the antichrist system (Little Horn of

Dan.7:25) when Jesus destroy's them all (2Thes.2:8-9, Rev.19:11-21).

(Note: To have the little horn, there must be 10 last day kingdoms. To have 10 last day
kingdoms there be must be that 4th kingdom (Rome) which will "devour the whole earth"
(Dan.7:23).

To have this 4th kingdom there must be Greece (Leopard). To have Greece there must be Media-
Persia. To have Media-Perisa there must be Babylon. From Babylon to the 10 last day kingdoms

is the times of the Gentiles (every Nation the is not Jewish) (Luke.21:24, Rom.11:25).

Another confirming point is that Babylon is present in the Book of Revelation and sitting on the
                  back of the beast (antichrist)
(Rev.17-18).

            B. The Dan.7:25 "little horn" is the Beast (antichrist, man of sin)

His time-frame is the last day because he makes "war with the saints" (Rev.13:7), i.e. "wear out the                        saints" (Dan.7:25) for time, times and the dividing of time (Dan.7:25, Rev.11:1-3; 12:6-14,13:5).

This period of time is ONLY found in the the Book of Revelation. The other "little horn"

(Dan.8:9, 23-25) is history to us. This includes verses Dan.8:24-25

               1. The whole world will worship this man of sin (Rev.13:1-7)

But "of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For
yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when
they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a
woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that
                       day
should overtake you as a thief"
(1Thes.5:1-4).

2. Most see the man of sin being a leader amongst the kingdoms of this World.

                       This is true, but
he is also a fallenapostate (2Thes.2:3) apostolic ministryfrom the Church
                       in the last day, j
ust as Judas was (Note: 1John.2:16-18). This "man of sin", son of perdition

2Thes,2:3, little horn Dan.7:25 who is going to oppose and exalt himself above all that is called
God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the
temple of God, (which is the Church)
shewing (showing) himself that he is God" will bring a false P
eace and safety (1Thes.5:1-3).
This man of sin will have p
ower over all kindreds and nations (Rev.13:7; 16:14) "like a leopard                               (Greece, Belly and thighs of Brass), and his feet as the feet of a bear (Media-Persia, Breasts and
arms of silver) and his mouth as the mouth of a Lion (Babylon, The Head of Gold),
but they will
not mix / feet iron clay / a counterfeit unity
 (Dan.2:43).

IV. Jesus, "the stone cut out of the mountain"

This is the sameEschatology[14]as the apostle Paul who has Jesus returning one time, at the end                     have Jesus coming once, not as a "two stage" coming as the Pre-Tribulation Rapture doctrine teaches.
