"Let your words be few" (Don't mix [confound] God's Word with man's wisdom

thoughtof what causes our language to be "confounded" (mix)

1. Keep thy foot when thou (you) goest (go) to the house of God to worship (Eccl.5:1)
a. This is our walk before the Lord. (Gen.3:8; 5:24; 6:9, Exod.16:4, Lev.18:4, Deut.5:3,
Josh.22:5, Jud.2:22, 1Sam.2:35, Psa.1:1, Prov.1:5, Eph.5:11; 2:2)
(1) The Priests had to wash their hands and their feet at the Brazen Laver
BEFORE they ministered unto the Lord that they die not" (Exod.30:17-21,
1Peter.2:5-9, Rev.1:6; 5:10, Heb.9:1-28; 10:1-25) NOTE: Psa.24:2-4, Eph.5:26

(2) Our responsibility (as Priests 1Peter.2:5,9) to "keep" (i.e. proclaim / Words in
it's season) what God's word (patterns / principles) says. (1Cor.1:19-29; 2:1-14)
(3) God lit the fire of the Brazen Altar, but was the Priest(Heb.12:29,1Peter.2:5-9)
responsibility to "not let the fire go out" (Lev.6:12-13; 9:23-24)
(4) God provides the atonement. It began with God. (He initiated it) This pattern
is seen the "coats of skins" that God provided from Adam and Eve. (Gen.3:21,
4:1-4; 6:20-22, 12:8,Exod.27-8, Gal.3:24, Matt.5:17-19)
(5) The truth of atonement (the fire) continues as we proclaim(1Cor.5:7-8,
Heb.9:1-28; 10:1-25, 1Peter.1:18-20) This is keeping our feet
(6) Israel (the church in the wilderness) was responsible to proclaim each Feast
their season. (Gen.1:14, Lev.23:4, Gal.6:15-16)
(a) To do this you need to know the seasons. This was done by understand
-ing God's Laws(Rom.1:20, Gen.1:14, Psa.19:1-3, Exod.12:1-4) There was a
season for the early rain before the grain harvest at Pentecost, and a
season for the Latter rain before the fruit Harvest during the Feast of
Tabernacles. (Deut.11:14, Zech.10:1) "ask for the rain IN THE TIME OF LATTER RAIN". NOTE: Jesus
rebuked the Pharisees and Sadducee's for NOT understand there season / visitation
(Matt.16:1-4, Luke.19:44) Their proclamations were the traditions and command ments of men.

(b) Israel (the church in the wilderness) never did proclaim the year of Jubilee[0] in it's season.
(Lev.25:8-55)
(c) They never did proclaim The Feast of Passover and Pentecost in it's season. NOTE: Joshua,
Book of Judges, Chronicles, Kings)
b. The House of God is the Church (people, saints) that "gather together..." (Matt.18:18,
Mark.14:57-59, Acts.7:47-48; 17:24, 1Cor.6:19-20, Eph.2:20-22: 5:25, 1Tim.1Peter.2:5)
c. Don't put your foot in your mouth (your walk must match your words)
d. Let your actions match to words you speak. No lip service(Isa.29:13) You MUST keep you vows
(Eccl.5:1-7, NOTE:v.6, Job.2:10, Heb.13:15)
2. Be not rash with thy mouth, (words / speech) be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of
fools: for they consider (not hat they do evil. (Eccl.5:1-2)
a. Rash - to tremble inwardly (or palpitate), i.e. (figuratively) be (causative, make)
(suddenly) alarmed or agitated; by implication to hasten anxiously [Strong's OT#926]
NOTE: Rash and rational in our Eng. Dict. are not the same meaning as the Hebrew
(1) Don't get anixous / hysterical try to make the Word of God work
(a) Sarah / Abraham (Gen.15:1-15; 16:1-6; 17:15-22, 1Peter.3:1-16, Heb.4:1-11)
-- Sarah: God's Word is not happening / anxious / "amazement" (Gen.16:1-6)
-- Sarah had good intentions
-- She said, "How can God do this?" (Gen. 18:1-15; 21:1-13)
-- She needed to relax and trust God. NOTE: Gen.21:1-2 "And the Lord visited
Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken.
For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set
time of which God had spoken to him."
(b) Adam and Eve's intention was good. "They sewed fig leaves" (Gen.3:7) to
cover their nakedness. (Gen.2:25; 3:7-8)
-- Cain was offering an offering to the Lord. It was not to some
other god. However "his works were evil" (1John.3:)
(c) Saul (not patience / anixous) offered sacrifice (1Sam.13:; 15:1-)
-- He violated God's pattern: Only the priest could offer sacrifice (Lev.1:)
-- This is not happening / Samuel was late (1Sam.15:)
-- Saul's intention was good (1Sam.15)
-- Saul's works was rebellion and the sin of witchcraft (1Sam.15:, Gal.3:1; 5:20)
(d) Uzzah was anxious and touched the Ark of the Covenant
-- Good intentions (Remember: We are talking about going to the House of God and not being
"rash" with our mouth.
-- But violated the pattern. Only the family of Korah could carry the Ark of the Covenant
on their shoulders
(2) God's Word will never fail or pass away nor fall to the ground. It will prosper. Therefore we must
speak God's Words in every situation and not our good intentions of man's wisdom. Remember
when Aaron had the anointing oil poured upon his head, (Psa.133:1-3, Exod.,) it ran down upon
his beard, even the skirts of his garment. It did not touch the flesh."(i.e. our humanity / wisdom /
our works (1Cor.1:19-29; 2:1-14, Rom.8:6-8)
(a) None of Samuel's words fell to the ground because they were God's Words (1Sam.3:19)
(b) Our "rash" (speech / language / words) will fall to the ground. (1Sam.3:19)
(3) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as
the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts
than your thoughts. (Isa.55:8-13)
(a) We need our mind (thoughts) renewed (Rom.12:1-2, 2Cor.10:4)
(b) NOTE: The Burnt Offering
(4) For as the rain cometh (comes) down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but
watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and
bread to the eater (Gen.1:, Psa.19:1-3, Rom.1:20) so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my
mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall
prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (Isa.55:8-11)

(1) What is a hearing ear?
(a) JESUS said "He that hath [natural] ears to hear, let him hear." [with spiritual ears] (Matt.11:15,
Rev.2:7, 11,17, 29; 3:6, 13, 22)
(b) It is God makes a hearing ear. (It comes with being born again) (Prov.20:12,
2Cor.5:17, 1Cor.13:9-12)
(c) Our new man (our born again man) has five spiritual senses(Heb.5:14)

-- Smell / Discernment(Gen.8:20-21, Lev.1:9; 2:2, v.9, v.12; 26:31, Amos.5:21,

(d) Why then did the Hebrew Christians become "dull of hearing?"
-- They did notexercise[0] their [spiritual] senses (Heb.5:14)
-- They were not earnestly taking "heed"[0] to the things (Rom.3:1-2 / Acts.7:38, Rom.9:1-1-5,
Gal.3:24, Matt.5:17-19, Heb.1-13) which they had heard. (Heb.2:1)
-- They were "slipping"[0]back from the "Oracles"[0] that God had given them. (Matt.13:10-17,
Isa.5:13)
(e) NOTE: the example of Isaac. (Gen.27:1-29) If his eyes were not "dim" his taste, smell,
feelings (touch), and hearing would have had "made sense!" and not be deceived. (Prov.20:12,
Matt.13:15, Luke.24:16,25,31, 2Cor.3:14-15, Eph.1:18; 4:18, Luke.24:16,25-31, 2Cor.3:13-16,
2Peter.1:9)
(f) The House of Judah (Jews) ears had become "dull of hearing" because they were teaching
for doctrine the commandments of men. (Dim eyes - Matt.13:13-17, NOTE.v,12 and Matt.25:29)
(2) We need to careful of "how" you hear, and "what" you hear. (Mark.4:24, Luke.8:16-18, 1Cor.14:7-9 /
Num.10:1-10) NOTE: God lead the church in the wilderness(Acts.7:38)with a sound
(Num.10:1-10, 1Cor.10:1-11; 14:7)
(a) We can have a hearing ear!
-- Do you realize that the "eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth,
to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him."

-- This is why Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. (Gen.6:8-22) It is the SAME WORD

-- Be careful because there are many things that want to "choke" out the desire to hear

-- This depends on how you see the pass, present or future[0]
-- When you see what God is going to do, this will make thirsty for more of the things of God.

-- This depends on our spiritual appetite (desire, Col.3:1-2, Eph.2:6, Heb.9:24 longing, yearning,
hunger, thirst, Matt.5:6, John.7:37 passion) NOTE: Heb.11:13
-- Our mind needs to be renewed[0] it is Hostile / Mind the Spirit (Rom.8:6-7, Col.1:21, 2Cor.10:4)
cast down every imagination to the obedience of Christ. Lot: failed to do so (2Peter.2:8,
Luke.17:26-27, Gen.6:5)
c. What is giving the sacrifice of fools(Eccl.5:1-2) "when thou (you) goest (go) to the house of God"
to worship (Deut.12:1-12, Eccl.5:1) NOTE: This applies to the Old Testament (natural Temple, and the
New Testament fulfillment of that Temple / House of God.
(1) What is a "fool?"
(a) Word definition: "dull or stupid (as if shut up), i.e. heedless, (morally) block
-head, (apparently) absurd." Strong's NT#3474(Matt.7:26; Matt.25:2-8,
Gal.3:1-3; Eph.5:4 )
-- Dull of hearing (Matt.13:10-17, Heb.5:11-14)
-- Stupid (Eng. Dict: Foolish) "senselessness," is translated "foolishness" in
Mar 7:22; 2Cor 11:1,17, 21, "foolishness" RV (AV, "folly" and "foolishly").

-- NOTE: The structures in the Old Testament blueprint that housed God's
presence. The Tabernacle of Moses, The Tabernacle of David and Solomon's
Temple (i.e. the Temple trhat Solomon built)
-- In each of these structures God set in a high priest and priesthood that
was "imposed" on Israel until the reformation, (Heb.9:1-10) i.e. until Christ

-- The Priesthood had to "behave" themselves according to the pattern that

(1Cor.3:1-15) but will you will not "receive not the things of the Spirit of God:" for they will be
foolishness unto you and the "care of this world" will choke out the Word of God in your life
(i.e. your walk / feet). (NOTE: The
example of Cain Gen.4:1-4, Jude.1:1-13, NOTE:v.11)
(d) A foolis someone that does not keep their feet when they go into the House of God

(e) A fool is some one who does not have a hearing ear (Prov20:12).Review: I.A.2
(f) A fool is some one that does not consider not that they do evil. (No fear / respect /
conscience seared with a hot iron) Mind not being renewed(Lev.21:16-24, NOTE:v.18;
Lev.1:1-9, Rom.12:1-2, Col.1:21, Rom.8:1-5-8)
(g) A fool is someone who builds his house on the sand (Matt.7:26, 1Cor.3:10-15)
-- Sand = hearing but not a doer (not acting according to the patterns of the Word. The
pattern of the offerings / sacrifices. Noah heard and built (James.1:22-25) an Ark according
to God's pattern(Gen.6:1-24, Matt.24:36-37, Heb.11:7)
-- The floods / the fire revealed he was a "fool" with no time to change (NOTE: 1Cor.3:10-15)
--The wise are building on the Lord Jesus Christ (1Cor.3:10-15, Eph.2:20-22)
--The fools are building on ANOTHER JESUS. (1Cor.3:10-15)
(h) A fool is someone who fails to prepare.
--There were five wise virgins, and five foolish virgins.
--No preparation / Missed timing / Did not understand the season / Door shut as in the

B. The example of Nehemiah "Our words should not polluted" Be Responsible with you mouth
(Neh.6:3:65, 1Peter.1:15-16; 4:11 / Col.1:27, James.3:1-18)
Moreover, "in those days I saw men of Judah who had married women from Ashdod,
Ammon and Moab. Half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod or the
language of one of the other peoples, and did not know how to speak the language
of Judah." (Neh.13:23-24)
1. The context (setting)
a. They were to be separate from the people of the land (Deut.2:5; 12:1-4,
Heb.11:13-16) They were a Nation within the Nation that they were possesing (Jos.1:1-18; 2:1-24;
3:1-17; 4:1-24; 5:1-15; 6:1-27; 7:1-26)
b. We (The Church) are in this world but not of it (Exod.12:7, John.17:14-15, 2Cor.6:14-18,
Eph.2:8; 5:11) We are a "Holy Nation" (1Peter.2:9) within our natural Nation. "have no fellowship
with the unfruitful WORKS of darkness" (Eph.5:11, 2Cor.6:14-18) NOTE: Matt.13:22
(1) We have been translated out of the kingdom darkness into the kingdom of light (Col.1:)
(2) The House of Judah was a Nation / kingdom / citizens

2. I saw menof Judah who had married women from Ashdod, Ammon and Moab.
a. The "males" (the man) given the responsibility to lead and have his family in order

(2) Noah “come thou and your family” (Gen.7:1, Josh.24:15)

JESUS OUR EXAMPLE the head / male of the Church / responsible (Eph.5:21-32) More responsibility
does not mean, more important. (Matt.25:14-30) God-Christ - Man - Woman (1Cor.11:1)
(1) Men: Don't blame the women for your failures.

(a) Where was Adam when she was talking to the serpent and adding to God's Word?

(5) NOTE: It was "the elders of Israel" (1Sam.8:4-5) that came to Samuel and said, "make is a king to
judge us like all the nations" (1Sam.8:9)NOTE: These nations were supposed to be driven out

3. Nehemiah saw men of Judah who married women from Ashdod, Ammon and Moab
a. The "men (the adults / parents) of Judah" did not remain separated from "the people of those lands"
(Ezra.9:1-2, Neh.13:23-24, John.17:15-17, 1Cor.6:15-20, 2Cor.6:14-18, Eph.5:1-12 / 2Peter.2:)
(1) They "mingled" (to braid, i.e. intermix; technically, to traffic (as if by barter); also or give to be
security (as a kind of exchange) with the women of Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab which corrupted

on their city or tower. He confounded their language and scattered them abroad upon the face of the

man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith

princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a
mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our

II. This confounding (Mixed) of the language stopped the unity /
one speech / language/ One Vision
This (confounding of the language) has been copied by "that old serpent" (The Devil, dragon, Satan Rev.12:9)
to bring confusion (1Cor.14:33)[0] and division into the purpose (Eph.3:1-12) of the Church today. The apostle
Paul told the Corinthians, "I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the
same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined (Eph.4:4:1-16)together
in the same mind and in the same judgment.(1Cor.1:10-13)
A. That ye all speak the same thing
1. Look at the scriptures concerning building in the New Testament
a. JESUS said, "I will destroy this temple (natural / earthly) that is made with hands,
and within three days I will build another made without hands.
b. James says,"the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the
prophet. (Acts.7:46-48; 17:24)
c. Paul says that Church is, "built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets,
Jesus Christ (1Cor.3:10-17) himself being the chief corner stone In whom all the
building fitly framed together groweth (grows) unto an holy temple in the Lord:
In whom ye (you the Church) also are builded (built) together for an habitation of
God through the Spirit." (without hands) (Eph.2:20-22) NOTE: The Bride is a city
(Gen.11:4-5, Heb.12:22, Rev.21:10) and the name of the Lord is a strong tower(Prov.18:10)
2. If we don't speak the same thing then the building will stop
a. Because there will confusion as in the tower of Babel.
b. no one will understand the other, resulting in division in the Church over
language and the "fowls of the air will come and devour" (Matt.13:1-4, 18-19)

1. What is an "oracle?"
a. An utterance (of God):—oracle. (Strong's NT#3051)
(1) All scripture is given by the (breathed / utterance) inspiration of God (2Tim.3:16-17)
(a) The oracles were identified as Law and the Prophets (Acts.7:38, Rom.3:2; 9:1-5)
(b) Also in the New Testament (Heb.5:12-14; 6:1-3)
(2) For the prophecy (sure word) came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God
spake [and wrote down Rom.16:25-26, 1Peter.1:10-12] as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

b. "And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had
enquired at the oracle of God" [the Ark of the Covenant] (2Sam.16:23)
(1) God said, "there I will meet we thee (you)"This was the pattern that God gave to the church

found in all of Paul's epistles

let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make
us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. (Gen.11:)
A. It is possible to have a man-made unity

B. This a counterfeit ("I will be like") unity (Day of Atonement unity)

government but with feet of iron and clay / don't mix / the spirit of antichrist is already in the world

A. The whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.(a unity)

NOTE: In the example found in Nehemiah, the children of the MIXED marriages hindered the purpose
of God. (Gen.3:15; 4:1-4, 5:1; 12:1-2; 15:1-15,)
II. What do we mean speaking the same thing.
The apostle Paul wrote the church at Corinth saying "beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly
joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment." (1Cor.1:10, Eph.4:11-16)
12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? (1Cor.1:10-13)
We need to speak the same thing which will cause a division
because when Jesus (the WORD) is prominent there is division. (NOTE: 2Cor.2:1-14)
A. It is speaking the Word of God
1. It is not a man made unity
2. It is not having a statement of belief that established by our movement
3. It is not speaking the same thing as a “personality”

II. Today there is a mixed language in the Church family
Today, there is a mixed multitude in the Church like those in Nehemiah's day "that had married wives of
Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab: And their children spake half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak
in the Jews’ language, but according to the language of each people." (Neh.13:23-25) Paul is like the NT
Nehemiah (1Cor.5:7-8)
A.
A. Today our "speech" (doctrine, preaching, teaching) is mixed.
It is "half the speech of "this world (Ashdod, Ammon and Moab / See Page 3) and we cannot "speak"
in the language of God's Word. This hindered the purpose of God (Dan.9:24-26) in Nehemiah's day because
he could not communicate God's Word.
1. God hates mixture (Prov.)

3. Amon and Moab were not allowed in the congregation (Deit)
4. What fellowship has Christ with Belial (2Cor.6:)
5. Preaching should have the enticing wisdom od man (2Cor.2:1-14)

B. Nehemiah's example is written to admonish us
We are (Rom.15:4)not to be "a friend (James.4:1-4) of this world" (1John.2:15-16) because this is spiritual "adultery." We must be separate unto the Lord because the Church is "espoused" (engaged) to Christ as "a chaste" (clean, modest, perfect) virgin. (2Cor.11:2) The people of God were suppose to be a separated
(Deut.7:1-5) "kingdom" of priests from these "people." (i.e. Ashdod, Ammon and Moab - Exod.19:1-6,
1Peter.2:5, Rev.1:6; 5:10) but they (Gal.6:15-16) allowed mixture ("half") of Ashdod, Ammon and Moab into the
congregation of Israel through their forbidden marriages. (Neh.13:1, Deut.23:3, James.4:4, 1John.2:15-16,
2Cor.11:1-3)

C. The Historical setting of Nehemiah's day
The House of Judah (Ezra.1:5) had been in a seventy year captivity to the Babylonian Empire because they disobeyed God's Word, and failed to let "the land...enjoy her Sabbaths." (Lev.25:1-7, 2Chron.36:21, Jer.29:10) After God's chastisement was complete, He Sovereignly delivered them from Babylon, as He said He would. (Jer.29:10, Dan.9:25-26) However they did not remain separate unto the Lord (Ezra.9:1-2, Neh,13:23-24) and became "entangled" (2Tim.2:2:4, Matt.13:22) with the inhabitants they were suppose to defeat. III. What lead them to a mixed language?
A. They left the Babylonian captivity in victory to fulfill God's Purpose
All those "whose spirit God had raised, (Ezra.1:5) left captivity and began to "restore and to build Jerusalem. (Dan.9:25, Jer.29:10, Ezra.1-4) This was a landmark(Deut.19:14, Prov.22:28) in God's purpose, because from this time they would be able to count the number of years until Jesus the Messiah. (Dan.9:24-27)
1. Reformation until our day
When Luther saw the just shall live by faith, (1517 AD) the Church left the spiritual captivity of the "dark ages." (Spiritual Babylon) This was a "landmark" in God's Purpose for His Church. (Review: Samson /

2. Experientialy
When we are saved (born again), we leave the captivity of sin (Dark Ages / Babylon) This is a "landmark" in God's purpose for our Christian life. (Eph.2:1-22)
B. However, they became hindered and frustrated by their adversary
They were hindered by their adversary who "hired counselors against, to frustrate their purpose."
(Ezra.4:1-24, 1Peter.5:8) This stopped building the House of God and the people said, "The time is not come,
the time that the Lord's House should be built" (Haggai.1:2, Ezra.5:1-2)they were not speaking "the same
thing" (1Cor.1:10) as God said. (Dan.9:25, 2Chron.36:21 / Jer.29:10) God said, it is time! There language was
in direct opposition to the purpose and plan of God, (Dan.9:24-26) which lead to them building their
own houses. (Haggai.1:1-6) Think: Tower of Babylon was done by them without God
1. Reformation until our day
In 1500's AD, the Church of the "Reformation" was hindered by the Church of the Babylonish religious system of the "dark ages" Some gave into this "frustration" and built their own houses.
(Denominations) (Review: Phase 2 / Other Related Subjects Samson, Page. 2-3) Our adversary (the devil -
1Peter.5:8) is still hiring "counselors to frustrate" God's Purpose. (Eph.2:1-22; 3:1-12; 4:11-16;
5:21- 33) The modern day "counselor's are, Religious leaders, Theologians, Seminaries, Professors of
religion, Bible editorial Committees, and such like.
a. Some gave into this "frustration" and built their own houses.

2. Experientially
God's Word to us it, "think it not strange concerning the fiery trail." (1Peter.4:12) "Don't be weary in well doing." (Gal.6:9) There is a journey. (1Cor.10:1-11) There is a wrestling against "principalities and powers." (Eph.6:12) The "wiles" (tricks, strategy, tactics) of our adversary (the devil) is still the same as he used on Eve. (Gen.3:1-3, 2Cor.11:1-3) This strategy is to "frustrate" and "devour." (1Peter.5:8)
a. Note the example of Eve.
(1) The lust of the flesh Eve "saw that the tree was good for food." (Gen.3:6) Lust of the flesh. (1John.2:16, 1Cor.1:20-29, Gal.5:16-17)
(2) The lust of the eyes Eve saw that the tree "was pleasant to the eyes." (Gen.3:6) Lust of the eyes. (1John.2:16, Eph.1:18 understanding Matt.13:16, Luke.24:16,25-31)
(3) The pride of life. Eve saw that it was "a tree to be desired to make one wise." (Gen.3:6) The pride
of life. (1John.2:16)
Note: Friendship with these will cause spiritual adultery, which will produce a mixed language
in the congregation.
b. Lot was hindered by being vexed daily. (2Peter.2:7-8)
c. Samson was vexed daily by the harlot woman, Delilah whose purpose was to frustrate the purpose
of God
C. This frustration caused them lose their vision and begin to "mingle"
The "people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levities, have not separated themselves from the people of
the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the
Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites. For they have taken of their
daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the
people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass." (Ezra.9:1-2)
They did not remain separated!
1. Note: Reformation until our present day
The Church, (the people, priests, Levities) did not remained separate, and "mingled" with the
"philosophy[0] and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not
after Christ" (Col.2:8-9)
a. The evidence is in the denominations that have formed out of each truth that God has restored. (Review: Phase 2 / Other Related Subjects Samson, Page. 2-3)
b. This "mingling" (of the man's wisdom / language) with the "philosophy"[0] and vain deceit, after the
tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ," (Col.2:8-9) is revealed in each
translation of the Bible since the Revised Version. (1881 AD?) Review: Phase 1
2. Experientially
Timothy was told to "Preach the word...For the time will come when they will not endure sound
doctrine; but after their own lusts[0] shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And
they shall turn away the ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. (2Tim.4:2-4)
a. Jehoshaphat "mingled" and became "entangled" (2Tim.2:4, Eph.5:11 Matt.13:22) with Ahab, king of
Israel when he was forbidden to do so. (2Chron.18:1-34; 19:1-2; 20:35-37) and the result was his son
(next generation 2Chron.21:5-6) married the daughter of Ahab.
b. Samson "mingled" with the Philistines, which lead to them to try and frustrate the Purpose
of God. (Judges.13-16)
c. Saul kept the best of Amalek. NOTE: Amalek is a type (a picture or model) of our fleshly abilities.
(Our education, degrees, whatever impresses man) to sacrifice unto the Lord. It was good intentions
but witchcraft and rebellion against God. (1Sam.15:1-23, Rom.8:7)
Note: Listen to the preaching of many who are the leaders (shepherds) today. The wisdom of this world[0]is "mingled" within their preaching. (James.4:1-4, 1John.2:16-18)
D. Mingling lead to a mixed language spoken by the next generation
Nehemiah could not communicate God's law because their was a translation issue. All they understood
was "according to the language of each people "who were forbidden to "come into the congregation."
(Neh.13:1, Deut.23:1-7, Neh.13:23-24)
1. Reformation until our present day
Since the Reformation, God has been leading the Church to the His ultimate purpose. Just as in
Nehemiah's day, (Neh,13:23-25) many have "mingled" with the "wisdom of this world" and have
removed themselves from the language of God's Word. All that is that "left is a "form of godliness."
(This is evident in many denominations, their seminaries, their Colleges, their Creeds etc. 2Tim.3:5,
Isa.29:12-13)
2. Experientially
Keep "thy (your) foot (walk)[0] when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than
to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil. Be not rash with thy mouth, (speak
the proper language) and let not thine heart be hasty to utter anything before God: for God is in heaven,
and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. (Eccl 5:1-3 / Eph.4:29) Let you language be God's
Word.
a. The Church today must be on alert
We must be on alert so that we don't leave our first love (Rev.2:4) and produce a generation that speaks "half the speech" of the worlds wisdom, and cannot speak the language of God's Word. (Neh.13:23-25)
b. Our adversary (the Devil) realizes the power of speaking the same thing. (Speaking the same
language) Note: The Tower of Babel. (Gen.11:1-9)
c. Mixture always weakens and defeats.
(1) The example Samson. (Judges.13:1-7; 16:1-31)
(2) Solomon did not follow the Lord fully, he had a mixture. (1Kings.11:1-6) This is where we are today!
E. Nehemiah's solution was to dissolve these marriages. Separation!
Nehemiah "read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God for ever; (Deut.23:1-7) Because
they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam...when they had heard the
law, that the separated from Israel all the mixed multitude." (Neh.13:1-3) The solution is the same
today...SEPARATION! (Think of the disruption that took place in these families. They were used to doing
things a certain way and now it is totally different, because the foundation was WRONG!
There is "disruption coming!" The "tares" are going to removed from the "wheat." There is a separation
coming! (This will be explain in Phase.11)
IV. CONCLUSION
Note: How all the Old Testament Israel admonitions us daily. (1Cor.10:1-11, Rom.15:4)
1. Written for our learning
2. That we through patience
3. And comfort of the scriptures
4. Might have hope (expectation)
5. These things happened unto them for ensembles (Types / model)
6. Written for our admonition (warning)
7. Upon whom the ends of the World have come Children spoke half the language of the Moabites, Amonites
and Hitites BECAUSE of the parents MIXED MARRIAGES. Which was the result of “mingling with the people of
the Land. 1. This took time 2. It was the result of corrupted everyday living / It was the people of Israel, and
the priests and the Levities (Erza.9:1-3) 3. No other God’s BESIDES me / cannot serve two master’s 4. The
solution was an abrupt separation (Day of Atonement} Their purpose was to rebuild the city and the
Sanctuary / They failed / Some said it is not time to build, (Haggai.1:1-2 / Erza.4:1-24; 5:1-2) when God said it
was through Daniel and later by Haggai and Zachariah.
Jeremiah says that God had good plans for them if they seek God’s purpose (Jer.29:10-11 / Rom.8:28) If they would rebuild the city and the Sanctuary (Dan.9:24-26) The apostle Paul wrote,”I beseech you brethren (Church), by the name of Lord Jesus Christ, that ye (you) all speak the same thing, and that ye (you) (1Cor.1:10)

Our walk (our feet) are directly connected to our words / speech / language because we are proclaiming where God wants us to walk. "Thy Word is a lamp to my feet" (Psa.119:)
Our Words will fall to the ground and will provide light (understanding) for our current World condition!
