The Context of the Book of Hebrews
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

NOTE:  The Book of Hebrews is center around JESUS OUR HIGH PRIEST entering into the Most Holy Place on the day of Atonement. This day of atonement is the "centerpiece" of The Feast of Tabernacles, the third of three Feast that (Israel "the church in the wilderness) celebrated "year after year." The apostle Paul (who was taught directly by Jesus
Gal.1:11-12, Eph.3:5) interpreted these holy / feastival days to be "a shadow of good things to come" (Col.2:16) As we "rightly divide the Word of truth,"(2Tim.2:15) the Gospels, Acts and the Epistles clear show that God is faithfully abiding by the pattern / blueprint of these Feasts. THE FEAST PASSOVER[0] was Historically fulfilled at the Cross (1Cor.5:7-8) and THE FEAST OF PENTECOST[0] was Historically fulfilled on the day of Pentecost.

15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and ev

        C.  Verse three - four - "For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath
builded the house hath more honour than the house.  For every house is builded (bulit) by some man; but he that
              built all things is God.
(Heb.3:3)

              2.  .

        D.  Verse five- six  "Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were
to be spoken after;  But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence
and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,

8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
