BRIDE

THE LAW
To bring them to Christ

To the Jew First
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

To the Jew first[1]. This does not mean that God favors (respects)[2] the Jew (the children of the flesh of Abraham)[0] over the Gentile, because His "intent" (Eph.2:1-22; 3:1-12) "from the beginning of the world" is to "reconcile[0] BOTH unto God in one body by the Cross.  When Paul wrote,[3] "they (the Jews) are beloved for the father's sakes," (Rom.11:28) he was referringto Abraham, Isaac, Jacob who were not "Jews")[0]but were many generations long before there was a House of Judah (Jews)The House of Judah (Jews) are "beloved" because of this covenant[0] that God made. (Heb.6:13-20) Just as we (The Church) are beloved (Eph.2:1-22, 3:1-12) are "beloved" (Eph.1:6)because of the New Covenant that JESUS (MESSIAH) made at the Cross when
He made
"reconciliation for iniquity"(Eph.2:16, Dan.9:24)  God is a Covenant keeping God. When Jesus (our Passover 1Cor.5:7-8) "came unto to His own" (the Jews / the House of Judah), (Acts.13:46, Rom.1:16) He was confirming His Covenant[0]with the "father's."(Rom.1:17, Heb.6:13-20)He was not respecting their person.
God was respecting the Blood covenant that Jesus / Messiah would make at His crucifixion.
 NOTE:
1Peter.1:18-20

I.  What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly,
     because
that unto them were committed the oracles of God first
(Rom.3:1-2, Eph.2:1-22; 3:1-12)

A.  What are The "Oracles" / The Law
(Acts.7:38, Rom.3:1-2; 8:1-4; 9:1-5)
           1.
The adoption
           2.
The glory
           3.
The covenants
           4.
The giving of the law
           5.
The service of God
           6.
The promises
     B.  These "Oracles" were given to bring the Jews) to Christ / Messiah

(Mat.5:17-19, Gal.3:24, Heb.9:1-10) "for to make in himself of (two) twain (Jew and Gentile) one new
man. So making peace" (NOTE: One new man
(Eph.2:11-15, Jer.3:18; 31:33, Heb.8:8-10; 10:16-17 /
            2Cor.3:1-19)
/ One "intent" /, One Purpose which was "from the beginning of the world."
           (Eph.3:1-12; 3:1-12)
     C.  When God made covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, (the father's) there was no Jew (i.e. House
           of Judah) yet
. Gen.12:1-2, (NOTE: Heb.11:10) Gen.15:1-15; 25:5; 26:3; 28:1-4, Gen.49:1-33; Exod.1:1-9;
            Exod.2:24-25, John.8:56-58)

     D.  There was no Law
(Rom.5:10-12) until Moses(Exod.6:1-8; Deut.18:15, Acts.3:22, Matt.5:17-19, Heb.3:1-6;
            Heb.9:1-10; 10:1-25)
This Law was to be a "schoolmaster" to bring us to Christ" (Gal.3:24, Heb.9:1-10)
     E.  David / JESUS "raised up Christ to sit on his (David's) throne"
(1Chron.17:1-15, Acts2:19-30)
     F.  They (Jews / House of Judah) were accountability to the Law of the "firstborn"
(Exod.4:22, Deut.21:15-17)
          NOTE: Much is given...much required.
(Luke.12:48, Rom.2:23-29; 3:1-2; 5:10-21; 7:7-14)
    G.  They (Jews / House of Judah) had the "advantage"
(Rom.3:1-2) "chiefly, because that unto them were
          committed the "oracles"
(Rom.9:1-5) of God that continued the "woman's seed" (Gen.3:15-16)through to
          Christ.
(Matt.1:1-17, Luke.3:23-38, Rom.9:5)

      H.  Hath (has) God castaway His peoplewhich he foreknew(Rom.11:1-8)
God forbid. "For I (the apostle Paul) also am an Israelite, of the  seed of Abraham,
of the tribe of Benjamin. "God has not cast away his people
[0]which he foreknew"
             (Rom.11:1-2)
Look at me (Paul) I have been redeemed in Christ Jesus. I have not
            been cast away.
(Acts.9:1-22, Gal.3:16-17, Phil.3:1-15, Eph.2:1-22) "What then? Israel
(the children of the flesh of Abraham
Rom.9:1-8 / Sand seed Rom.9:27) hath (has)
            not obtained
(Rom.10:1-3) that which he seeketh [was seeking] for; but the elect-
           ion
(those that have turn to the Lord
2Cor.3:13-16) hath obtained it,[0] and the rest

were blinded. (NOTE: What the apostle Paul says, "Not all Israel are of Israel"i.e. the
            of God
according) to Rom.9:1-8, Gal.6:15-16, Matt.13:10-17, Rom.9:1-8; Rom.11:8-10,v.25)

            1.  God foreknew (divine selection)
[0]  (Rom.11:2-7, 1Peter.1:18-20, Eph.1:4,
                  Eph.2:1-22; 3:1-12)
that the Jewand Gentile were foreordained (to be made
                 one in Christ, our
Passover / the lamb of  God 1Cor.5:7-8) before the foundation
                 (beginning) of the world
(Eph.1:4;2:1-22; 3:1-12)

            2.  God foreknew "whose names (Jew and Gentile) are written in the Lamb's Book of life from
                 the foundation of the world.
(Rev.13:8; 17:8).

            3.  God foreknew thatchildren of the (natural
Rom.11:22-24flesh of Abraham (God's firstborn
                   Exod.4:12
) would brake[0] (Lev.26:1-33) their Covenant with God through unbelief that Jesus was
                 and is THE MESSIAH
(Dan.9:26, Rom.9:1-20)

            4.  Paul
(Gal.1:11-12) uses the pattern of the "firstborn"[0] (Birthright Rom.9:8-33) from the Law of Moses
(Lev.00.00) to explain why the children of the flesh of Abraham were became broken off.
(Rom.11:7-25)
                 a.  They
[0]mocked the only begotten Son Christ Jesus  as Ishmael did with Isaac / the only begotten
                      son of Abraham.
Gen.15:1-5, Gal.3:1-29, John.8:56, Heb.11:8-10 /17-19; 12:18-22, Rev.21:1-27, Gen.16:
                        1-14; 17:15-22; Rom.9:8, Gal.4:21-31
) Ishmael was mocking that geneaology "as concerning the flesh
                      Christ came.
(Rom.9:5)
                 b.  They
[0] also despised their birthright[0]as Esau did. (Gen.25:19-34, Rom.9:11,
                        Matt.1:1-17,Rom.9:1-5
)

                 c.  NOTE: How many times the Birtright was given to the next in line[0]

            5.  What is "his
(God's) people?"
                 a. "Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made.
(Gen.15:1-15;) He saith not, And to seeds,
                       as of many; (NOTE:
Rom.9:6-8) but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ."(Gal.3:16-17)

                  b.  The "seeds" (offspring) of Abraham
                         (1)  Star seed (Gen.15:1-6; 17:21, Gal.4:21-28)
                              (a)  Isaac (Promise / Faith /
Rom.9:9 Sarah / "We brethren (ChurchMatt.16:10, John.2:18-20,
                                       Mark.14:58, Eph.2:20-22, 1Cor.12:12-27, Col.1:18)
are as Isaac was are the children of
                                    promise""
(Gal.4:21-31. v.28)
                              (b)  This is a continuation of God's "intent" from the beginning (foundation) of the world.

    (Eph.2:1-22; 3:1-12, 1Peter.1:18-20)

                       (2)  Sand seed
(Gen.22:17, Rom.9:27)
                              (a)  This is the natural, the children of the flesh
of Abraham Rom.9:1-27, John.8:33-44,

                                 (b)  Paul interprets the sand seed as Hagar / Ishmael / Mt. Sinai / Flesh / Jerusalem which now
                                     is.
(John.8:, Rom.9:27, Gal.4:21-31)
                       (3)   Dust seed(Gen.13:16; Isa.5:44, Isa.40:15; )
                              (a)  Behold, the nations
(Gen.13:16) are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small
dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing. (Isa.40:15)
                              (b)
Ishmael and Esau were both of the flesh of Abraham both were cut off and formed the
                                    Nation of Edomites and Ishmaelite

            6.  What the scripture saith (say) of Elias? (Elijah)
[0](Rom.11:2) how he maketh (made) intercession
to God against Israel [the House of Israel ]
[0] saying, Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged
down thine (your) altars; and I am  left alone, and they seek my life.
(1Kings.19:18, Matt.21:33-46)
God's answer to him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, [individuals]
[0] who have not
bowed the knee to the image of Baal. Even so thenat this present time (of the writing of the Book
of Romans / approx. 65 AD?) there is a remnant according to the election (divine selection)
[0] of
                 grace."
(Rom.11:5) Electionbecause God foreknew this remnant [of individuals of Jews ] would accept
                 the grace and truth
[0](John.1:17) of Jesus Christ / Messiah) who has their name written in the Lamb's
book of life before the foundation of the world.
(1Peter.2:18-20, Eph.2:1-22; 3:1-12, Rev.13:8; 17:8)

                 c.  What then? Israel (The Nation) hath not obtained that which he seeketh for;
(Rom.11:7) but
                      the election (the "many"
Dan.9:27)[0] hath obtained it, and the rest (the Nation of Israel) were
                      blinded.
(Rom.11:25)
                 d.  According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber,
[0] eyes that they should
not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day."
(Rom.11:1-8, Matt.13:10-17)

II.  It was their unbelief
[0] that caused them brake their covenant with God
"But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;  And if ye shall despise my
statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye

(you) break my covenant:
      A.  I also will do this (a curse) unto you
(Lev.26:16-33)
           1.  I will make your cities waste
(Matt.36:329; 24:1-)
           2.  I will bring your sanctuaries unto desolation
(Dan.9:26)
           3.  I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours. (
           4.  I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.
           5.  I will scatter you among the heathen
(Luke.21:20-24)
           6.  I will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.

      B.  Note: It was not God that broke them off, it was if "you break my Covenant. (Lev.26:14-33) Paul
writes, becauseof [the House of Judah's] unbelief they were broken off, and thou (you Gentiles) standest
(stand) by faith. Be not high minded, but fear." For if God spared not the natural
[0] branches, (the
children of the flesh of Abraham-
Rom.9:8) take heed lest he also spare not thee." (Rom.11:20)
           1.   God never breaks Covenant
(Num.23:19, 1Tim.2:13, Heb.6:13-20)
           2.   This is evident in
Romans 9-11 [graffed / grafted back in again]
           3.
Confirmed by Daniel(Dan.9:26, Matt.24:15-22) Jesus came unto His own (the house of Judah / Jews)
                 to
confirm the covenant (The Oracles of God / Law and Prophets Matt.5:17-19), but they cut Him off

(Dan.9:26) off (Isa.53:8, Dan.9:27) in the "midst (middle) of the week." They broke covenant with God,
leaving half of the covenant unfulfilled. "BUT GOD who is rich in mercy"
(Eph.2:6) never brakes
                 covenant.
(Heb.6:13-)
      B.  NOTE: The admonition to the Gentiles that have been graffed (grafted) in.
(Rom.11:20)
           1.   You Gentiles stand by faith. (NOTE: Heb.4:1)
                 a.  Stand by faith in Christ Jesus / New Covenant
(Eph.2:8-10)
                 b.  Faith in the New Covenant that fulfills (completes) the Old Covenant ) Oracles of God
(Acts.7:38
                        Rom.9:1-5)
(This is where the "children of the flesh" of Abraham broke Covenant)
           2.   Be not high minded, but fear." For if God spared not the natural (the children of the flesh" of
                 Abraham
Rom.9:6-9) branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee." (Rom.11:20)

III.  The "Oracles" were never intended to be just for Jews.
[0]
      A.  "Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too."
(Rom.3:29,
             Eph.2:1-22; 3:1-12)
He is not willing the ANY should perish. (2Peter.3:9, 1Peter.1:18-20)
      B.  This is foreshadowed
(Rom.3:21-31, Col.2:16-17, 1Cor.5:7-8, in Law ("Oracles") for the stranger
            that sojourns (dwells) among them.
(Exod.12:43-54,)"One law shall be to him that is home born, and
unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.
(Exod.12:43-51; 20:10, Lev.16:29, Num.1:51,
             Ruth.2:9-11, 1Chron.22:2, Eph.2:12-19)

      C.
The CROSS is the reality / fulfillment of the "One law shall be to him that is home born,
and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.
(Exod.12:43-51, Eph.2:11-19; 3:1-12, Gal.3:28,
             NOTE: Acts.15:1-11, v.9)
"No difference" in Christ. The Jew is still a Jew IN THE FLESH, and the Gentiles
still a Gentile IN THE FLESH. However God REJECTS THE FLESH.
(Rom.8:18, 1Cor.1:1-29, Gal.4:21-31)

After the Cross we (Jew and Gentile) MUST be in Christ. (2Cor.5:17-21, Gal.6:15-16)

IV.  The Gentiles were not an "after thought!" or in "parenthesis" (as a digression or after thought)
       A.  The Jew and the Gentiles were included in God's Redemptive plan "hid" from the beginning / foundation
             of the world.
(Eph.3:1-12)
       B.
Look at the "times" of the Gentiles in God's Word

1. Rom.11:25. "untilthe fulness  (the full number of the Gentiles be come in."
(Rom.11:25, Eph.2:11-19)
            2.  Eph.2:1-22; 3:1-12. They were planned before the foundation of the world.
Review: I-III
            3.  Luke 21:24.  Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles
               be fulfilled.

V.  Look at what Jesus said to "his own" (The House of Judah / Jews)

       A.  Parable of the Vineyard (Matt.21:33-45)
            1.  .
            2.  .

     B.  Laborers
in the vineyard (Matt.20:1-16)
            1.  .
            2.  .

           2.  After the Historical[0] fulfillment Feast of Passover and Pentecost the "children of the flesh"[0][0]
of Abraham (as a Nation) continued to reject Christ
[0] (the Messiah) thinking that God is "a God the
                 Jews only"
(Rom.3:29) They had convince themselves[0] that God inspired all their "traditions and commandments of
                    men"[0] (Matt.15:1-9, Lev.23:1, Deut.16:16-17, 1Cor.5:7-8,  Col.2:16-17, Matt.5:117-19). However "many" [Dan.9:27]
did excepted Christ THE MESSIAH (Acts.)

There were three groups of Jews that developed after the day Pentecost had "fully come"

                    (a)  The Jews (The "children of the flesh" of Abraham Rom.9:6-8) that rejected Christ as the MESSIAH
                            (Acts.4:1-3, 15-22; 5:33-42; 6:9-15; 7:50-53; 8:1-3; )
--They continued with with their tradition in the Temple that was made with hands (Mark.14:58)
--With the rent veil in two at the Cross which revealed the God's presence was no longer there
(Matt.27:50-51) (NOTE: The importance of the Veil in the Tabernacle and Temple)
--There was no Ark of the Covenant. The last mention of the Ark of the covenant was in
                                2Chron.35:4, Jer.3:16.
                             -- They were teaching for doctrine the commandments of men (Matt.15:1-9, Acts.3:11-15; 4:1-2;
                                 5:17-17-18;6:8-15; 7:1-51, Acts.11:1-3; 14:1-2; 21:17-28; 23:1-6)
-- NOTE: The earthly / physical[0]  Temple was still in existence until 70 AD while JESUS / MESSIAH
                              / GOD MANIFEST IN THE FLESH (John.1:1-14, Matt.1:1-17, John.1:29-41, Dan.9:26, 1Tim.3:16) was
building His Church, "made without hands" (spiritual) with the presence of God (Matt.16:18,
                                Mark.14:58, Acts.7:47-48, 17:24, Eph.2:1:22)
                    (e)  There were many (Dan.9:27) the received Him but continued to keeping the Law / mixture (Act.11:3;
11:10; Acts.15:1-6; 21:17-26) NOTE: The Book of Galatains
             (6)   After Pentecost (The Feast of Weeks / Harvest) the "intent" was they would "be witnesses unto me both
in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, (the land of the Jews / The House of Judah) and in Samaria, (The House of
Israel which become a mixed with the Assyrians 2Kings.17:18-23) and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
                           (Gentiles / "them that are afar off" (Eph.2:1-22; 3:1-12 Acts.1:8; 2:38)
-- But they (the Jews that had accepted Christ as the Messiah) stayed in Jerusalem. (Acts.1-13)
-- Therefore God "scattered" them (Acts.13:19-30) because His "intent" from the beginning of the world
to "reconcile both (Jew and Gentile) unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
...to make in himself of twain (Jew and Gentile) one new man, so making peace." (Eph.2:1-22; 3:1-2)
NOTE: ONE PLAN / PURPOSE / INTENT / ONE OLIVE TREE
--But they went "preaching the word to none but the Jews only. (Acts.13:19-30)
--So God sovereignly used Phillip to take the Gospel to Samaria (Acts.8:5-17)
-- Then God set Peter to preach Christ to the Gentiles. (Acts.10:1-44) "And when Peter was come up to
Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him" Saying, Thou wentest (you went) in
to men uncircumcised, and didst eat with them." (Acts.11:1-3, NOTE:v.18)

Stephen called the ("certain of the synagogue" / elders / scribes / high priest / Jews,) a "stiff necked and
uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye (you / Nation) do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did,
                                 so do ye." (Acts.7:1-69, NOTE:v.51)
                           (2)  Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose
about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but
unto the Jews only. (Acts 11:19)
                    (d)  However the Samaritans (who the Jews had no dealing with) receiving the Gospel (Acts.7:5-17)
                     (e)  Then (8-10 years later?) Peter was sent by God to the (Gentile) house of Cornelius who received Christ
(THE MESSIAH) and preached the Gospel. (Acts.10:1-44) But the Jews (at Jerusalem) why did you go to the
                          Gentiles
                    (f)   The Church at Jerusalem continued to put a difference between the Jew and the Gentile beleiver

This exclusive attitude (position) of separation between Jew and Gentile continued in
in the 1st Century Church for many years (approx. 50 Acts.1 through to Acts.15:1-15)

                   c.   God had not rejected (Cast away) the Gentiles even though they were without Christ, being aliens from
the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in
the world." (Eph.2:11-19) This is seen in the Law / the Oracles of God Acts.7:38, Rom.3:1-2; 9:1-5) Provision was
made for the Gentile / Stranger / the uncircumcised if they choose. (Exod.12:48-51)This is because His "intent"
(purpose) before the foundation of the world to reconcile both the Jew and Gentile in Christ as one man.
                    (Rom.10:12; Eph.2:1-22; 3:1-12, 2 Peter:3:9)
                    a.
            (4)   But first Christ needed to come in the appointed time which the Law pointed to

                    c.  Then at the Cross (1 Peter.1:18-20, 1 Cor.5:7-8) "Christ Jesus ye (you)...are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

            (5)    When the God the Word became flesh and dwelt amongst us (JESUS / EMMAUEL Matt.1:18-25), He "came unto
His own" (i.e. The House of Judah)
            (6)  These"oracles" were a "schoolmaster" to bring them to Christ (Gal.3:24) who was to "reconcile" (Eph.2:16) BOTH
and "to make in himself of the twain ONE NEW MAN" (Eph.2:11-22) "Now (after the Cross) we Gentiles) are
