As it was in days of Noah
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

No man knows the hour...only the Father Jesus said that His Second Coming would be as it was it the days of Noah. Therefore, Jesus gives us the authority to go back and look at the days of Noah and apply it to these last days. (Matt.24:36-37, Luke.17:27)

I.  Jesus is coming back

But "of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the
days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  For as in the days that were before the
flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the
ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man
be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at
the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord
     doth come." (Matt.24:36-41, Luke.17:26-27)

II. Some question "where is the promise of His Coming?"

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying,
Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the
beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of
old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being
overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in
store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not
ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one
day.  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-
ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
"
(2Peter.3:1-9)

      A.  Some mock the Second Coming

Peter reminded them God’s clock is different that your clock. "Be not ignorant of this one thing,
that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a  thousand years as one day. The Lord is not
           slack
concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing
that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
(2Peter.3:1-9)

            1.  One day with the Lord is as 1000 years to us(Psa. 90:4; 84: 4)
                 a.  God’s thinking is far above our thinking
(Isa.55:8:9, Eph.3:18-29,
                      Prov. commit your thoughts)
                 b.  Cast down all imaginations
(2Cor.10:4)
            2.  Look at our life span
                 a.  Threescore and ten (70)
(Psa.90:10)
                 b.  All flesh is as grass
(1Peter.1:24, Isa.40:6-8)
            3.  This is why Peter could in the first Century that it was "the last
               Days
". It has been (and is) the the two days 2,000 years since to
                 Cross to our day.
(Review: PHASE 3)
                 a.  John said, it the last time
(1John.2:18)
                 b. Paul wrote, "time is short"
(1Cor.7:29)

               c.  Hebrews says, "God...spake in times past (Old Testament) unto
the prophets. Hath (has) in these last days spoken...by His Son"

                        (Heb.1:1-2)

                 d. Peter writes, "in these last times"
(1Peter.1:20)

     C.  God is not slack as some men count slackness

God is a God of Laws / patterns that the Prophets prophesied to us that must be fulfilled BEFORE JESUS
            can return.
(Matt.5:17-19; 13:11-17, 1Peter.1:10-12, Acts.3:19-24) This is why He is waiting, He is committed
to the patterns in His Word.
(Example: The Pattern of the Feasts)

            1.  If we believe not(Scoff or mock) God still abides faithful
He abideth (abides) faithful: he cannot deny himself / His Word - patterns
(2Tim.2:13,
                  Heb.6:16-18)
When "the Word was made flesh, (John.1:1-14) and dwelt among us, (and we beheld
his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), and He (Jesus) said, "Think NOT that I am
come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil."
(Matt.5:17-19)

               One of those
laws (that has NOT been destroyed, but fulfilled)is that
God works six days and rests  the seventh.

                 a.  In creation
(Gen.1:1-31)
                 b.  Man is to work six days, rest the seventh
(Exod.16:22-26)
                 c.  The Feasts days were celebrated in a week of months
(Lev.23:15-16)
                 d.  The Land was to rest every seventh year / a week of years
(Lev.25:1-7)
                 e.  Israel was to count 49 years and the morrow
(Lev.25:8-11)
                 f.   Daniel was to count seventy weeks (seventy sevens
(Dan.9:24-27)
                 g.
God's Redemptive Week (of working six days and resting the seventh

                                                          See chart on
patterns of weeks

            2.  God is a finisher (Luke.14:25)

He will perform that which He begun
(Philemon.1:6, Rev.10:7; 11:15) "In the days
of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of
               God should be finished,
as he hath declared to his servants the prophets"
(Rev.10:7,
                  Rom.16:25-26, Acts.3:19-24)

Note:Rev.10:7 alone tells you that God is still working  towards a conclusion (the
seventh trumpet Rev.11:15)  He is not "slack". He cannot stop in the middle
.

       He MUST FINISH!

                 a.  "For which of you intending to build a tower..." YOU MUST FINISH! (Luke.14:25-34)
                 b.  Jesus said, "It (i.e. God's Redemptive plan that has been foreshaowed in the Old Covenant /
                      Testament) is finished"
(John.19:30, Heb.9:1-10; 10:1-25)
                 c.  The Law was incomplete, it never take away sin" (it only exposed it
Heb.10:1-10) Jesus fulfilled /
finished / completed the law.  Now we fulfill the completed law, in Christ as we live our everyday
                      Christian walk before the Lord.
(Matt.5:17-19, 2Cor.5:17, Rom.8:1-4)
                 d.  On the sixth day  "the heavens and the earth were finished"
(Gen.1:31; 2:1)
                 e.  The sixth day of God's
Redemptive Week the mystery of God is finished, then we will live and reign
                       as kings and priests
(1Peter.2:9, Rev.1:6; 5:10) for a thousand years (the 7th. day / the ultimate
                      Sabbath
/ No work / Mystery is completed / finished
                 f.  Jesus is being "received" (retained / held) and will not return UNTIL "the times of restitution
(restoration) of all things, (finished) which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets
                      since the
world began. (Acts.3:19-24)
                g.   Jesus said that He is come to
fulfill (complete / finish) the law and prophets (Matt.5:17-19)
                h.  Then we will live and reign as kings and priests for a thousand year (the 7th. day / the ultimate
Sabbath / No work / Mystery is completed / finished

                 i.  Note: When JESUS said, as it was in the days of No'e (Noah
Luke.26-27) He was saying
                      (1)  That there will a Word given for God's people to build and to finishthe Ark
                      (2)  That there will a time for preparation for God's people to build and to finish the Ark
                      (3)  That there will a time for for the building to complete / finished / the Ark

(4)  That there will a time for entering thefinished Arkaccording to the pattern
                      (5)  That there will a time of waiting before the destruction   build and to finish the Ark
                      (6)  THEN THE DESTRUCTION CAME

Note:  The TIMING of this destruction DID NOT happen BEFORE THE ARK WAS COMPLETED.
God did not interrupt / quit His pattern (pictured by the Ark) at any moment

D.  Where is the thought of a building (Ark) being finished in the New Covenant(Testament)

A key thought in the days of Noah is the entering into the Ark, which was God provision for their
           protection BEFORE the flood came.

           1.  There will a Word given for God's people to build and to finish the Ark

                a.  The same Word
(2Peter.2:1-8) has already been given to us. Jesus said, "as the days of Noah
were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."
(Matthew 24:37)
                b.  Jesus said He would build His Church
(Matt.24:36-37, 1Peter.2:7, Eph.2:20-22)
                     (1)  Because we are in Christ we will do the same (2Cor.5:17
                     (2)  We are yoked together with Him
(Matt.28:19-
                     (3)  Peter - you "are lively stones"
(1Peter.2:5)
                     (4)  Paul - The end result of the Church is a habitation / Temple

                              (1Cor.3:10-15, Eph.2:20-22)

                     (5)  Examples of God warning His people to build before He destroys
                            (a)  They had had to apply the blood before the judgment on Egypt

(Exod.12)
                            (b)  Keep His Feasts and God will protect you / land / property

                                      (Exod.

                            (c)  Warning ahead of time 70 AD
(Matt.24

           2.  There will a time for preparation for God's people to build

   a.  Nothing was going to happen until that time was up(2Peter.3:1-9)
God is a finisher / so was Noah
(Luke.14:25-33) No man knows the
day and the hour.  Note: You would think when Noah finished
the Ark he must had a sense something was about to happen. (A
benefit of understanding God’s pattern’s / the “eyes” of your
                     understanding
(Eph.1:18).
                     (1)  The same word
(2 Peter.3:1-9, Matt.24:36-37) There is a time limit.
Note: Wicked servant "my Lord delays his coming"
(Matt)
                     (2)  Long suffering is God
(2Peter3:

         3.  There will a time for the building to complete / finished / the Ark
                 a.  Jesus gave himself for Church
                 b.    That it might be built
                c.  To be presented FINISHED Eph.5
                     (1)  The was a word to Noah to build and prepare an Ark. (This was
the grace and Mercy of God)
                     (2)   What is the Ark?  -  The Ark is seen in completed Church /  Woman  Rev.12 (Eph.5:21-33; 4:11-16,
                            Matt.16:18) -
(Review: Point #1, a. b.)  This is the “formed” Eve for the Last Adam (1Cor.15:45-46).

Note:  The time limit coincided with finishing of  the Ark

4.  There will a time for entering the finished Ark according to the pattern
                a.  .
                b.  .
           5.  Then there will be a time of waiting before the destruction   build and to finish the Ark
The Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous
before me in this generation....For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days
and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the
                earth.
                b.  .

                THEN THE DESTRUCTION CAME

Note:  The TIMING of this destruction DID NOT happen BEFORE THE ARK WAS COMPLETED.
God did not interrupt / quit His pattern (pictured by the Ark) at any moment

.

   E.  Peter - They are willingly ignorant of Noah and the flood

"For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth
standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with
            water, perished"
(2Peter.3:5)

            1.  These false prophets and teachers (in the Church) were "willingly...ignorant"
                 a.  Willingly - Wilfuly / deliberately by their will
                 b.  Ignorant - Strong's NT#50 / not to know (through lack of information or intelligence); by
implication, to ignore (through disinclination) they show a disinclination to face the truth: reluctance,
unwillingness, lack of enthusiasm, indisposition, hesitancy; aversion, dislike, distaste; objection,
                      demur, resistance, opposition. (Thesaurus)
            2.  There are those in the Church (like the Thessalonians) that are "willingly...ignorant" thinking "the day
                 of Christ" is at hand"
(2Thes.2:2) expecting  JESUS to deny Himself and come back for a Church that is
                 incomplete.
                 a.  What is a completed Church?
(Eph.3:1-12; 4:11-16; 5:21-32)
                 b.  Jesus said, "I will build my Church" (you can count on the Church being finished)
            3.  The world knew not until the flood came
(Matt.24:36-37)
                 a.  Natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God because they are foolishness unto him.
                 b.  The wisdom of man will fail you
(1Cor.1:19-29; 2:1-14)

     F.  As it was in the days of Noah God has a purpose / plan

God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the
earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy
them with the earth. Make thee an ark...(
Gen.6:1-4; 13)

            1.  God destroyed man in Noah's day
Peter writes, "the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the
same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of
judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
(2Peter.3:7)
                 a.  The wickedness of man
(Gen.6:1-13)
                 b. Daniel and Revelation - The same word (Rev.
                 c.  There was a time of grace

            2.  Noah found Grace. (God’s Love) SAME WORD
                  a.  There will be a people that find grace and protection /
                       preservation in this total destruction
(2Chron.16:19)
                  b.  There was a pattern for Noah to build by to preserve
                       himself and his family
                       (1)  God has given us a pattern (Matt.5:17-19, Heb.9:1-10, Gal.3:24)
                       (2)  Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so
                              did he.
(Gen.6:22)

            3.  The origin of the pattern for the Ark was God
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved
with fear, prepared an ark (according to the pattern that originated with)
God) to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world,
and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
(Heb.11:7)

                 a.  The Garden of Eden. God rejected Adam and Eve's pattern of
fig leaf covering and set in His pattern of
coats of skins. (Gen.3:1-24)
                 b.  The
Tabernacle of Moses was a pattern that originated with God

                   (Exodus.25:8)
                 c.  The
Tabernacle of David pattern originated with God (1Chron.28:19)
                 d.  The pattern for
Solomon's Temple originated with God (1Chron.17:1-15)

Note:  All these  these structures (whose design originated  with God), were made to hold His
presence. Together they teach us what is means to have God's presence dwell amongst us and
                      in us

                 e.  By grace are you saved, and that not of yourselves. (it is not your design)
(Eph.2:8)

            4.  Nothing was left to Noah’s imagination
We are to cast down imaginations that exalt it’s self against the
                 knowledge of God
(2Cor.10:4-5) i.e. how  to build the Ark

            8.  A time when the Ark was finished

            9.  A time for Noah and His family to enter the Ark BEFORE the destruction came (Gen.7:1-24)
          10.  Noah did know when to get on the Ark (Gen.7:1) - The Church (Eve) has been finished / completed                  and presented as a Bride to Christ (Eph.5:21-32, 2Cor.11:1-4)

          11.  This is why we don’t need to know the day or the hour
                 a.  BECAUSE NOAH WAS ALREADY IN  THE ARK WAITING.  This is why “that day (Second Coming
1Thes.4:13-18) should overtake you as a thief.  Ye (you) are all the children of light, (already in the
Ark like Noah)…children of the day: we are not  of the night, nor of darkness. (Psa.139:)

CONCLUSION
          12.  Therefore let us not sleep, as do others
                 a.  The Thessalonians were asleep they were not building with Gold, Silver and
                      precious  stones (Acts.17:11)
                 b.  They were expect Jesus to come at any moment (2 Thes.2:1-2, 1 Thes.4:13-18) Note: The Ark
needed to be finished BEFORE / This building did not happen in the "twinkling of an eye" it took
years i.e. from the Cross until our present day
                 c.  Watch and be sober -  Watching is our spiritual eyes /  (Eph.1:18, Luke.24:) understanding                       We have 5 spiritual senses. (Heb.5:14 / Illustrated by Isaac blessing Jacob Gen.27:1)

                      (1)  We can taste (
                      (2)  We can hear (
                      (3)  We can smell (
                      (4)  We can feel (
          11.  But let us, who are of the day  -  Light - (
                 a.  Men love darkness rather than light
                 b.  Be sober / well balanced (  )
                      (1)  A false balances an abomination (Prov.
                      (2)  Putting on the breastplate of faith and love. By Faith Noah prepared (Heb.11:7) Note: All the
Old Testament people that excised faith.  The Love of is described in 1Cor.13 it “rejoices in the
truth / pattern of the Ark / Glorious Church
                      (3)  and for an helmet, the hope of salvation  -  Hope in the Lord Jesus Christ ( ) -  Helmet / mind
(Rom.12:1-2) -  For God hath not appointed us…(who are awake, watching (Gen.27) of the day,                             sober, and have put on the breastplate of faith  and love, and the helmet of salvation) to
wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thes.1:1-9)
          12.  If  Noah did not build correctly then this protection would not be available
                 a.  The 10 virgins (Matt.25:1-13)
                 b.  The wise and the foolish man (Matt.7:)
                 c.  Those that build with wood, hay and stubble (1Cor.3:)
          13.  There will be an Alive and remaining group that  will know when to enter the Ark
                 a.  1 Thes.4:13-18
                 b.  .

     G.   TO SUMMARIZE

            1. Jesus is coming back (Matt.24:)
            2.  Some mock the Second Coming. (2Peter.3:1-9)
            3.  Peter reminded them God’s clock is different that
                 your clock
            4.  Peter - They are willingly ignorant of Noah and the flood
            5.  SAME WORD: As it was in the days of Noah God had a purpose / plan
            6.  SAME WORD: Before the destruction / flood
            7.  SAME WORD: Noah found Grace. and protection
                 a.  SAME WORD: The pattern is God’s Love in action
                 b.  SAME WORD: Protection If you build according to the pattern of God’s Word
                 c.  SAME WORD: According to pattern / No imagination
                 d.  SAME WORD: There is a time limit for the Church / Ark to be built
                 e.  SAME WORD: Nothing was going to happen until the Ark was  finished
            8.  The Ark is seen in completed Church
            9.  Jesus said He would build His Church
          10.  Paul writes it’s a Glorious Church
          11.  It is a great Mystery which must be finished before Jesus will return. (or until the Ark is finished)
          12.  SAME WORD: A time for Noah and His family to enter the Ark  (the finished / completed glorious
                 church / Bride
          13.  Noah did know when to get on the Ark (Gen.7:1)
          14.  But Noah did not know when the destruction would come

SAME WORD: This is why we don’t need to know the day or the hour BECAUSE NOAH WAS ALREADY
                 IN THE ARK  WAITING

CONCLUSION: “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear,
prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir
of the righteousness which is by faith.

OTHER THOUGHTS------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WED. EVENING Q and A ________________________________________________________________________________________________
““As Jesus “sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? (Matt.23:1-39; 24:1-2) and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?…Jesus answered their question by saying “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (Matt.24:36-37, 2Peter.3:1-9)  Remember, “I have many things to say (The Gospels) about NOAH but you cannot bear them now, before the promise of the Father / Pentecost) but when the  Spirit of God is come He will lead you in all truth about the Noah and the lady days. (The Book of Acts, the Epistles and the Book of Revelations

I.   The heavens and the earth, which are now, by the SAME WORD are kept in store, reserved unto fire

...

!

God does have

  a time clock,

     and it is

  running out

Like Noah, we don't know the day or the hour, but we CAN see bycomparingthe pattern with the building and see where our generation is in God's Redemptive blueprint

!

It is contrary to His

"divine nature" to

quit His purpose at
any moment

God is a finisher!

There was a time limit that directly tied in with the Arkbeing finished.
(Note:#5)

Because the destruction did not come until the Ark was finished

Identification of the Ark in the New Covenant is the key!

God is not slack
He is a finisher!

He is abiding by His patterns and will complete them before JESUS returns

These "scoffer's (false teachers and prophets)
are willingly ignorant of these patterns
