I myself should be a castaway

Just because we preach it does not mean we are automatically in
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. (1 Cor.9:24-27
(Think of Moses Deut.34;1-12, Num.20:1-13)
1. God is no respecter of Persons / Moses or congregation. God respected His Covenant
Is that loving? Yes God does love us, that is why He has provided for us to be in the Covenant that He
has made for Himself. (Heb.6:, 2Tim.2:13)
a. God looks down upon the blood stained mercy seat that covers the judgement against
b. JESUS IS OUR MERCY SEAT / a fathful High Priest forever making intersession for us (Heb.7
c. He is our "propitiation" (Mercy seat) 1John.2)
d. Think of Adam and Eve / fig leaves - rejected / Coats of skin provided by God / He initated - not
Adam and Eves idea. Heb.6 "I cannot swear by anyone greater than my self
2. The people are going in, not Moses BECAUSE OF COVENANT
NOTE: God has His hand on the Jew today because of Covenant which God made with Israel
reguardless if they beleve or not (for they are not all Israel which are of Israel Rom.9:5-6)
3. Moses was held to MORE accountability than the congegation (Matt.25 Talents / same reward
Heb.13 Leaders must give an account for the congregation / watch for your souls
Heb. Consider their conversation (lifestyle) for their very works sake 1Thes.5: Fruit Matt.7
