Defining the (so-called)Idol of the antichrist placed in the Holy Place
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

I.  Is this "idol" the same as the image in Rev.13

Some would say yes, because of 2Thes.2:4. The apostle Paul writes "Let no man deceive you by any means:
for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son
of perdition; Who opposeth (opposes) and exalteth (exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is
worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."

      B.  The beast sits himself. (It is assumed that this is an idol of himself which is the image of Rev.13:11-18)
      C.  In the Temple of God (However, there will be no earthly Temple of God, nor shall be)

   A.  Who makes this idol / image?

           1.  T
his idolatry (idol) will be brought about by the false prophet (i.e. the false / counterfeit prophetic
ministry) deceiving "them that dwell on the earth" (during the tribulation time Rev.13:14) to make an
image to the beast / antichrist / another Jesus

                  a.  It is not the beast (antichrist) that makes this image of himself
                       (1)  Nothing in Daniel about an idol
                       (2)  Somewhat like Mega-Churches today
                       (3)  Note: Deut.13:1-3  "If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth
(gives) thee (you) a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he
spake (spoke) unto thee (you), saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known,
and let us serve them; Thou (you) shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that
dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God proveth (is proving) you, to know whether ye love
the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul."
                  b.  Creating their own God / idol / image.

                       (1)  A counterfeit of the Church conforming to the "image of His Son. (Christ)" Rom.8:29
                       (2)  This is not a physical idol, it is a spiritual image
                       (3)  Because the Temple of Church is  "a spiritual house" that God's name is recorded on

                  c.  This is the COUNTERFEIT of a gift making room

                  d.  This false prophetic ministry is exercising all the power of the first beast (antichrist) Rev.13:14
                       (1)  The first beast / antichrist / just "like" The Lord Jesus Christ
                       (2)  Note the power structure "like" the God head (The Father, Son and Holy Spirit)
                              (a)  The dragon / devil / serpent /satan / "like" the Father, God (Isa.14:1-14, Rev.13:4)
                              (b)  The first beast / antichrist / "like" Jesus, The Son / The Word / Our High Priest
                              (c)  The other beast / The false prophet / "like" The Holy Ghost

            1.  We know this "other beast" (Rev.13:11-18) is the same as the false prophet (Rev.19:20)

a.   Counterfeit if the true prophet of Eph.4:11-16
                  b.  .

make an image (idol) Note: Balaam (Jude.1:10-15 / Deut.3:1-, 2Peter.2:1-)
            3.  This false prophet is Like (Isa.14:) a lamb (sheeps clothing Matt.)
                 (c)  This false prophet speaks as a dragon (speaks of another Jesus) - Revisionist - revising the name of
Jesus to mean he wants, while using the same terminology
                 (d)  This false prophet exerciseth all the power of the first beast (which is the antichrist, who gets his
power from the dragon / Devil)
                 (e)  This false prophet (prophetic ministry) causeth the earth and them (all kindreds, tongues and
nations Rev.13:7) to worship the first beast (antichrist) as he sits in the Temple of God,
shewing himself that he is God
                 (f)   This false prophet will deceive them (all kindreds, tongues and Nations.v.7 (that dwell on the earth
by the means of those miracles saying "that they should make an image to the beast." (Rev.13:14)
                 (g)  This false prophet has power to give life unto the image...that the image to...
                        -  Speak (dumb idols / no voice 1Cor.12)
                        -  Cause kill all those that refused to worship the image (Rev.13:16
                        -  The false prophet causes all both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond
                        -  Mark on right hand or foreheads
                        -  Cannot buy or sell (no commerce) without the mark
                 (h)  This false prophet (prophetic ministry) would make everyone to take the mark and the number
                       of his name.

NONE OF THIS INVOLVES A NATURAL IDOL OR A NATURAL TEMPLE, why becauseGod's names is not recorded on them

However "let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober" (1Thes.5:6). because John says,
"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there
         many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us, but they were not of us;
for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might
be made manifest that they were not all of us. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all
          things." (1John.2:18-20)

                b. Daniel's people were warned (Dan.9:24, Lev.26:14-15; 26:31-33)

Jesus said, "When (timing 1st. Cent.) you (the disciples) Daniel's people (the Jews) Dan.9:24,
John.1:11, Matt.23:38-39; 24:1-3) shall see the abomination of desolation spoken by the prophet
Daniel, "...flee into the mountains..." (Matt.24:15) This was to be "days of vengeance" (Luke.21:22)
upon because they did not hearken unto God and did not do all the commandments that God had
                      given. (Lev.26:14-16; 31-33, Rom.9:1-8; 11:20-25 Note:v.22)

God said, "if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye (you) will
not do all my commandments, but that ye (you) break my covenant: I also will do this unto you..."
                       (Lev.26:14-15, Lev.26:31-33)

                      (1)  I will make your cities waste
                      (2)  I will bring your sanctuaries unto desolation
                      (3)  I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.
                      (4)  I will bring the land into desolation:
                      (5)  Your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.
                      (6)  I will scatter you among the heathen,
                      (7)  I will draw out a sword after you:
                      (8)  Your land shall be desolate,
                      (9)  Your cities waste

           2.  Before Messiah the Prince was cut off there were other abominations / desolations

These kings of Judah "despised Moses' law" and caused God to make their cities waste, brought
their sanctuaries unto desolation, caused God to not smell the savor of their offerings. Their land was
brought to desolation which their enemies were astonished at, and they were scattered among the
                  heathen

                  a.  Rehoboam forsook the law of the Lord (2Chron.12:1-12 / v.1-2, v.9)
                  b.  The House of Israel had made a counterfeit House of God (2Chron.13:9)
                  c.  Philistines stirred up against Jerusalem (2Chron.21:16)
                  d.  Repairs to House of God that had been destroyed (2Chron.34:8)
                  e.  Babylon destroyed / burnt Temple / carried away captive (2Chron.36:14-20)
                  f.   Daily sacrifice taken away sanctuary cast down (Dan.8:11)
                  g.  Daily sacrifice taken away / abomination made desolate (Dan.11:31)
                  h.  Daily sacrifice taken away / abomination that makes desolate (Dan.12:11)

           3.  The difference between these (a-h) abominations of desolation the 70 AD

Note: Listed above (A.1.a-i) are serious violations (Lev.26:14-15; 26:31-33, Heb.10:28) of God's Word,
but the 70 AD Abomination will be different because Jesus said this 70 AD Abomination has not
happened "since the beginning of the world, (which includes A.1.a-i) nor ever shall  be" (Matt.24:21)
Note: This includes the future (so-called) Great Tribulation.

          2.  Did this make the purpose and plan of God of "none effect?". (Rom.9:1-6)

a  Paul's answer was, NO! because NOW (after the Cross / New Testament) "not all Israel, which
are of Israel". (Rom.9:6-8) The Israel of God under the New Covenant, is the Church which is God's
                      the firstborn (Heb.12:18-22, Matt.21: 1Cor.1:29; 2:1-14).
                  b.  The Church is the Jew and Gentile being made one in Christ AND ARE NOW CALLED, "SAINTS
fellow citizen's of the household of God. (Eph.2:11-19) Note: With the ultimate goal of become a
                       spiritual Temple.
                  c.  This is NOT replacement / supertheology

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
                 a. This will never happen again (Heb.10:26-29) (More information)

God so loved the world that He gave The Word (John.1:1, 1John.4:1-3; 5:7-8, Heb.1:2) to become
flesh. (1Tim.3:15-16, Phil.2:5-10, 1John.4:1-3; 5:7-8) The Word become a man (flesh) and dwelt
among us (and we beheld his glory...as the only begotten of the Father. (John.1:14-18) Emmanuel -
                      God with us. (Matt.1:17-25) NOW Jesus is the only High Priest that can forgive sin (Heb.2:17-18; 3:1;
                        4:15-16; 5:1-4; 7:1-28)

This was rejected by "His own" (John.1:11 Daniel's people)

                  b. This was ONCE and FOR ALL Heb.10:10 / ONE TIME / no, nor ever shall be (Matt.24:21)
For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, (context: Christ as
High Priest (Heb.3:1) in the true Tabernacle that the Lord pitched Heb.8:1-5; 9:1-10; 10:1-25) there
remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, (John.14:6)  This is why this abomination (tribulation) has
not be since the beginning of the world (creation Mark.13:19) to this time, (70 AD) no, nor ever
shall be. (Note: This includes the "so-called Great Tribulation")

Note: For they (Israel, the children of the flesh of Abraham / Daniel's people - Rom.9:8) being
ignorant of God's righteousness, went about to establish their own righteousness, have not
submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God." They (as a Nation) continued trusting in
their own righteousness, (Rom.10:1- 3, Isa.64:6) which is as "...filthy rages..." (Abomination,
disgusting, filthy) They willfully ignored what Moses said, "A prophet shall the Lord your God
raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever
he shall say unto you." (Acts 3:22)

                 c.   He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

                 d.   Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath
trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant,
wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of
                       grace?

                  f.  For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, (Luke.21:22)[00] I will
recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing
to fall into the hands of the living God.

     B.  This Abomination would be made desolate (Dan.9:27) "Vengeance"

Daniel / Gabriel says, Jesus (he) the Messiah shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and
in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading
of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, (the end) and that determined
(deceed) shall be poured upon the desolate.

           1.  Oversreading

The Strong's Con.OT#3671 / from H3670; an edge or extremity; specifically (of a bird or army) a wing,
(of a garment or bedclothing) a flap, (of the earth) a quarter, (of a building) a pinnacle:— (It has been
translated into the KJV as) bird, border, corner, end, feather(-ed), × flying, (one an-) other,
overspreading, × quarters, skirt, × sort, uttermost part, wing(-ed).

                 a.  If this abomination was an idol in the Holy place, how can it overspread until the times (full number)
of the Gentiles be come in.
                 b.  If this were the tribulation time then how can the Gentiles be gathered in (Redeemed) The Gentile
stops at the being of the Tribulation and God deals with Israel again, confirming the remainder of
                      the covenant
                 c.  The tribulation time is when the beast / antichrist is given power over all nations, kindred's and
                      tongues

                a.  The Book of Romans adds to this definition

                      (1)  Ishmael and Esau
                      (2)  Times (full number of the Gentiles / Nations) be brought in

          2.  Until the consumation

                 Strong's Con.OT.#3617 / from H3615; a completion; adverb, completely; also destruction:—
altogether, (be, utterly) consume(-d), consummation(-ption), was determined, (full, utter) end,
                 riddance.

           3.  That determined (deceed) shall be poured upon the desolate.

.Some think this is God destroying the "idol" of the antichrist in the Holy Place

EXTRA NOTES Continued------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    B.  The History (from Daniel's time) up to the coming of Messiah and the abomination

"In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over
the realm of the Chaldeans; In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the
years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy
             years in the desolations of Jerusalem." (Dan.9:1-2, Lev.26:14-15; 26:31-33, Jer.29:11 / 2Chron.36:21-22)

             1.  After the captivity Daniel's people (The Jews) would be released from their 70 year captivity to the
Babylonians with the purpose of rebuilding the City and the Sanctuary (Dan.9:25) so they could the
count down to when the Messiah (Jesus / the Word made flesh / the only begotten of the Father /
the Passover Lamb) would be revealed.

                 a.  Jesus / Messiah is the focus / center piece of these 70 weeks
                     (1)  Christ must be have preeminence in all things including the Visions and Prophesies of Daniel
(Col.1:16-18, Rev.1:1) Remember Daniel and Revelation harmonize.
                       (2)  We are to come to His image (Eph.4:11-16, Rom.8:28)
                b.  This would take 7 weeks (49 years - Dan.9:25)
                  c.  This took place during the books of  Ezra and Nehemiah.
                  d.  This was during the kingdom of Media-Perisa

Now there are only 63 weeks (483 years) left to fulfill the purpose. (Dan.9:24)

            2.  Gabriel goes on to say that 62 weeks (434 years) out of the 63 weeks will be used to wait until
Messiah (God the Word made flesh, John.1:14, Gen.1:1, 1John.5:7 the only begotten of the Father
John.3:16, Jesus Matt.1:17-25, Christ the anointed one  John.1:41)

Now there are only 1 week (7 years) left to fulfill the purpose. (Dan.9:24)

Under the Old Covenant pattern Israel was to the City of Jerusalem where
the Temple was and offer their sacrifices for sin. (Deut.12:1-12, Heb.9:1-28; 10:1-26)

Daniel spoke of the people of the prince shall come and destroy the city and the
sanctuary  / The place that animal sacrifices were to be made / Destroying their
connection with God that they held to instead of Christ's sinless blod

must be looked at in the context of God's Redemptive Purpose to
redeem us back to Himself by the sinless blood of His only begotten Son.

      A.  Not since the beginning of the word...nor ever shall be

"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet,
stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee
into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with
child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither
on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the
world to this time, (the time of the 70 AD) no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be
shortened, (the tribulation is a set time, 42 months, 1260 days, time, times and half a time) there should
no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. (Matt.24:15-22)

            2. This brought God's vengeance

This brought God's vengeance. (Rom.12:19) Luke says, "these be days of vengeance" upon Israel's
"quarrel" against His Covenant. (Luke.21:22, Lev.26:25-33, Rom.11:20) God broke them of from the
Olive tree (Covenants of promise Rom.9-11)

            3. The word "Desolate" [34] / means to ruin, to stun (or intrans. grow numb), i.e. devastate or (fig.)
stupefy (both usually in a passive sense)

            4. The word "Determined"- a primitive root; properly, to cut off, i.e. (figuratively) to decree:—
                 determine. [35]

          5. The word "Poured" - is to flow (lit. or fig.); by implication to liquefy [36] [become liquid, to melt a
                 solid - Webster]

          6. The word "overspreading"- a edge or extremity; specifically (of a bird or army) a wing, (of a
garment or bed-clothing) a flap, (of the earth)  a quarter, (of a building) a pinnacle.[23]

          7. Stand (standing) in the holy place - What is the holy placein the New Covenant? it is the
Church. Note: 2Thes.2: going to sit in the Temple of God. There is no earthly Temple that has a holy
                 place.

          8. To Summarize: The Abomination of Desolation

After Jesus, the Messiah is "cut off," in the "midst of the week" causing the sacrifice and oblation to
cease, (Review: Phase 5, Page 7) and after a period of time (70 AD)[24] the Temple was destroyed and
left desolate and lay in ruins, ( i.e. stunned, numb, devastated, and stupefy) [28] This disgusting, fitly,
idolatrous thing. (i.e. rejecting Christ's atoning Blood and continuing with animal sacrifices) would
overspread [23] to the edge or extremity, until the consummation (or the end), leaving no place for it
                 to happen again!

                 a.   If you are looking for future Abomination of Desolation
                       (1) Then you are expecting a rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem. This is because this is where the Holy
                             of hollies is.
                       (2)

                 b. If you are looking for signs of a rebuilt Temple, then you are also expecting the Pre-Tribulation
Rapture to take place just before this Temple is finished.
                     (1)  Then you will not be listening for what the Spirit of God is saying
                     (2)

"Nor shall there ever be" (Matt.24:21) because God not does honour animal
sacrifices or Natural / earthly Temples / Altars

1. What is the holy place?

             2.  Stand in the holy place
                    Standing

            2. For then shall be great tribulation (Matt.24:21)

The context is the destruction of the Temple 70 AD.  Some connect the abomination with the Great
Tribulation  because of the words, "such as was not
since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. However it says,"not since the
beginning of the world to this time, (The context is 70 AD destruction of the Temple) no, nor ever
shall be. (i.e. There will not be another Abomination of desolation)

    C. What about Dan.12:1 and Dan.12:11?

          1. Dan.12:1

"And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth (stands) for the children of
thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to
that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found
               written in the book." (Dan.12:1)

                 a.  And at that time (what time?
                 b.  Thy people
                 c.  There shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation
                      even to that same time:
                 d.  At that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book."

         2.  Dan.12:11

Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the
river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. And one said to the man clothed in linen,
which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his
right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a
time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy
people, all these things shall be finished. And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord,
what shall be the end of these things? And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up
and sealed till the time of the end." (Dan.12:5-9)

                 a.  How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
                 b.  It shall be for a time, times, and an half;
                 c.  And I heard, but I understood not:
                 d.  Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end."

  C.  Another Brief review of the History of the Seventy Week

           1.  Daniel realized that the House of Judah was about be realized from Babylonian captivity
                (Dan.9:1-2, Lev.26:14-15; 26:31-33, Jer.29:11 / 2Chron.36:21-22) How did Daniel know about their
                 release?
                a.  He understood by books (The Book of Jeremiah Dan.9:2) TODAY we can do the same! It begins
with "rightly dividing" (2Tim.) the Word of truth The 66 Books (The Bible / God's)
                      (1)  Note the lifestyle (behavor) of Daniel (Dan.1-)
                      (2)  Our lifestlye (behavour) should be the same
                 b. Daniel compared the number of years they would be in captivity (Jer.29:8-11) with the calendar of
his day (Dan.9:1-2)  and concluded that they (Daniel's people) would soon be set free from the
                      Babylonian captivity.

          2.  So he set his face to seek the Lord (Dan.9:3) TODAY when can compare the patterns in God's
Word and compare them with Church History, we will also realize where we are in God's Redemptive
                 Plan. (See chart)

          3.  While he was setting his face to seek the Lord, Gabriel gave him prophetic insight into how the
"heart of the king is in the Lord's hand" (Dan. Prov.). Beginning with Babylon, then Media-Persia,
                 Greece and Rome  (Review: Pages. 1,  2,  3,  4,  5,  6,  7)
                 a.  Remember that the center (the preeminence) is upon the Messiah (JESUS)
                 b.  Daniel was given a prophetic word to warn his people of the coming conflict between these
kingdoms. (The Church today is being warned about the antichrist and Revelation)
                 c.  We are not to center on the kingdoms of this world. Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world,
else would my servant fight" (Matt.) Our center of attention should be on the Bride (The Glorious
                      Church without blemish or spot)

(John.1:14-18) Emmanuel -
                      God with us. (Matt.1:17-25) NOW Jesus is the only High Priest that can forgive sin (Heb.2:17-18; 3:1;

And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up
and sealed till the time of the end." (Dan.12:5-9)

                 a.  How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
                 b.  It shall be for a time, times, and an half;
