IVX. The Vail of the Tabernacle(Continued from Page 9)

C. This pattern was "a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ"[94]

Wherefore "the law (of the High Priest) was our schoolmaster
[94] to bring us(Rom.9:1-5) unto
                   Christ, (our High Priest
Heb.3:1) that we might be justified by faith" (Gal.3:24). Now "that faith is
come we are no longer under a schoolmaster"
(Gal.3:24-25, Heb.9:1-26; 10:1-39).  The

Levitical priesthood was as our "schoolmaster." This is because Jesus came to complete

(Matt.5:17-19), establish (Rom.3:31), and to confirm (Gal.3:16) the Covenant that God made

                   with Moses (Heb.9:1-10, Deut.18:15, Acts.22, Heb.3:1-6).

         D. When Christ came He fulfilled the Law of the High Priest

Now He (Jesus) is the only one qualified (called of God) to enter within the Vail. Hebrews says
that "in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren,
[95] that he might be a merciful
and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the
                   people"
(Heb 2:17-18 / Lev.16:16; 3:1; 4:14-16; 5:5-10; 6:20; 7:1-26; 8:1-5; 9:11; 10:19-22).

     1. There will never be another High Priest

                       Aaron was High Priest
(Exod.28:1-43, Lev.16:1-34) until he died (Heb.7:23) and Eleazar became
                       High Priest
[96](Deut.10:6). There were about 83 High Priests [96] that followed but "they were
not suffered to continue by reason of death...."

"..But this man, Jesus  because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing He
ever liveth to make intercession for them" (Heb.7:23-25). This leaves no place for any other to be
                       High Priest after Christ because He "continueth ever" (Heb.3:1; 7:24) as High Priest (Heb.10:1-4;
                         9:8-10).
An "endless life." Note: In these last, of the days the antichrist will counterfeit this office
of High Priest because he wants to be "like" The Lord Jesus Christ who is our Apostle and High
                       Priest (Heb.3:1, Isa.14:11-14, Mat.24:5,24, 2Thes.2:1-4).

     2. No man takes this honor unto himself (Heb.5:4)

Aaron did not proclaim himself. God appointed him as High Priest (Exod.28:1-43). So
"also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but He (God the Father) that said
unto Him, (Jesus, God the Son)
[97] Thou art my Son, today have I begotten thee (Heb.5:10).

Jesus was called of God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek
[98](Heb.5:5) God has not,
and will not call anyone else to be the High Priest because Jesus continueth ever. His Priesthood
is unchangeable, because He has an endless life.

   3. Jesus "alone" represents us before God

"And there shall be no man (besides Aaron / The high priest) in the Tabernacle..." when Aaron
goes in to "make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children
of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins (Lev 16:17), "...for the errors of the
people" (Heb.9:6-7).  Absolutely nothing of man can be brought into God's presence and
presented as atonement for Sin) We cannot  add anything to our Salvation (Isa.64:6). Adam
and Eve came up with their own idea of fig leaves
[99], and God rejected it and covered their
nakedness (i.e. their sin) with the "coats of skins" that came from an innocent substitutionary
animal that had been sacrificed and their blood shed. (Review: Phase 4, Page 9, IVX. A. 4) Note:

The apostle Paul warned the Corinthian Church
, "For I am jealous over you with godly
jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to
Christ. But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled (deceived)
[100] Eve through his
subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity [101] (the singleness, the
preeminence in all things Col.1:18) that is in Christ" (2Cor.11:2-4).Jesus "alone" fulfills the
                      office
of the High Priest.

 4. Jesus "alone" fulfill these garments of the High Priest

These "are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a
broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother,
and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office" (Exod 28:4). Review: Page, 9d
for full description of the garments and their realty. (Fulfillment)

Note: High priest wore his priestly vestments, he entered the temple before all
the people, and then, laying them aside and assuming only his linen garments
(Lev. 16:23-24).

Jesus "fashioned as a man...humbled Himself"  (Phil.2:5-8). The High priest entered the holy

of holies alone, and made atonement, sprinkling the blood of the sin offering on the mercy

seat, and offering up incense. Then resuming his splendid robes, he reappeared before

                      the people[102] (Lev 16:4, 23-24).

         E. Now "we have boldness to enter" within the Vail

"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws
into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them. And their sins and iniquities will I remember
no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore,
brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new
[102] and living
way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh"
(Heb 10:16-20).

Now we can come back into God's presence, (i.e. through the Cherubim and flaming sword /
                   judgment / wrath -
Gen.3:1-24) in Jesus our High Priest (Heb.3:1) who fulfilled [103](Matt.5:17-19),
                   i.e. completed
(Heb.10:4) what Aaron foreshadowed (Heb.9:1-26; 10:1-10, Rom.5:10-21).

   1. Note: There are daily responsibilities that go with this "boldness"

"According to the pattern" (Heb.8:5) the "schoolmaster"
[94](the Law Gal.3:24; 4:1-5, Rom.3:31)
                        foreshadows / signifies
(Heb.9:8) that Aaron had daily responsibilities as well. He ministered at
                        the
Brazen Altar, Brazen LaverCandlestickTable of Shewbread and Altar of Incense.
