Now we are in a transition time preparing for the final phase
of God's Purpose for His Church. (Solomon's Temple)
Just as Daniel understood his place in God's timetable by comparing the pattern in scripture with his calendar, (Dan.9:1-21, Jer.29:8-11, 2Chron.36:21, Lev.25:1-7) we can to the same.
1. The apostle Paul, as a "wise master builder" (architect) uses this same pattern when he
wrote that the Church is to be built "an holy temple in the Lord...for an habitation of God through
the Spirit." (Eph.2:20-22, 1Cor.3:10) This will also be the place where the New Testament
Church will finish it's journey, and be planted and move no more. (Gen.12:1; 15:1-13,
Exod.1-12, Deut.6:23; 12:1-12, 1Chron.17:9, 22:1-19)
2. This will be "things not as seen yet." (Heb.11:7, Matt.24:37-38) These "things" are NOT
outside of God's written Word!1 As in the type, God's Word already contained the purpose of
Solomon's Temple. (Deut.12:1-12) When David desired to build God a house, (1Chron.17:1-
15) it was not an idea that he came up with. No, his desire matched God's desire because he
was a man after God's own heart and purpose. (Acts.13:22, Psa.37:4) The eye of the 1st.
century Church had "not seen, nor ear heard" (1Cor.2:9-10) of this revelation of the Church
being a "holy temple...for a habitation of God through the Spirit." (Eph.2:20-22) Neither had
it "entered into (their) heart," yet it was always in God's Purpose. (Eph.2-5)
Note: The 1st.century Church did not fulfill the pattern and arrive at Solomon's Temple. There is
no scripture saying that the 1st. century Church (collectively)2 had become an "holy temple in the
Lord." There is only scripture that says they were are being built a "holy temple in the Lord."
(Eph.2:20-22)
They did experience the reality of the Feast of Passover (1Cor.5:7-8) and Pentecost, Acts.2:1)
but not experience the reality of Solomon's Temple, which was dedicated in the Feast of
Tabernacles. (2Chron.5:3, Lev.23:23-44) They only arrived at the Tabernacle of David.
After the death of the apostle John, (100 AD?) they turned around so-to-speak and went back
to Egypt. (The dark ages)
3. When the apostle Paul declared that the Church would be built "an holy temple in the
Lord," (Eph.2:20-22) he also declare this to be the Church coming to the "unity of the faith...
unto a perfect (mature, complete) man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of
Christ." (Eph.4:11-16) He wrote that we may grow up into Him.
4. When the apostle Paul declared that the Church would be built "an holy temple in the
Lord," (Eph.2:20-22) he also declare this to be the The "glorious church not having spot
wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." (A Church just
like Jesus to be The Bride of Christ.) Eph.5:21-33
5. When the apostle Paul declared that the Church would be built "an holy temple in the
Lord," (Eph.2:20-22) he was teaching as he was taught by Jesus (Gal.1:11-12) who
combined the thought of His Body and Temple together. (John.2:18-20, Col.1:18,
1Cor.6:19-20; 12:13)
6. When the apostle Paul declared that the Church would be built "an holy temple in the
Lord," (Eph.2:20-22) he was also declare this to be the "glorious Church" a Glory filled
Church, as Solomon's Temple was. (Eph.5:21-33)
7. Peter confirms this by saying we are "Lively stones" being built a Temple. (1Peter.2:5-9)
This becomes rich in truth because, when "the house, (Solomon's Temple) when it was in
building, was built of stone made ready before it was brought hither: so that there was
neither hammer not ax not any tool of iron heard in the house, while it was building."
(1Kings.5:18; 6:7) Note: This was the generation of David that was preparing the stones and
the lumber. Our generation.
To summarize: Paul, as a "wise master builder" was reading the blueprint and writing the 1st. century Church, declaring that they were in transition to that completed "holy temple in the Lord." (The Bride) However, they failed to enter into because of unbelief.
Since the Reformation God has been restoring the Church back to were they left off and is about to take the last day Church to the completion (fulfillment) of the pattern. (Solomon's Temple the center of the City of Jerusalem) The apostle John interprets the Bride, the Lamb's wife to that great city the new Jerusalem. This is the same the city that Abraham looked for, the heavenly Jerusalem. (Rev.21:9-10, Heb.11:8-10;12:22, Gal.4:26)
Now the typical actions of David preparing for the Temple becomes rich in truth concerning our transition time.
These are "things not as seen yet" but God will reveal them unto us by His Spirit. (John.16:12-15, 1Cor2:9-14) As it was in the days of Noah, (Matt.24:37-38, Gen.6) God has given us the pattern to build with. (1Cor.3:10-15) Our responsibility is the read the "blueprint" (pattern) and build accordingly, and not to reason in our minds (2Cor.10:4-5, Rom.12:1-2; 8:5-8, Heb.11:6) how God is going to accomplish His purpose. Isaiah prophesied using this pattern to "minister" unto unto us (1Peter.1:10-12) concerning the House of God / the Last day Church. (Isa.2:1-2) Haggai did the same. (Haggai.1-2) Review Phase 6
A synopsis of David's preparation for Solomon's Temple.
Study with me as I develop these thoughts and compare them with what God is doing in the
Church today.
1. It began with a desire to build God a House. (1Chron.17:1-15)
a. Working in newness of life (Resurrection life - The 5th. lock of Samson's hair)
b. The time of David restoring the Ark of the Covenant and preparation for the Temple.
(1Chron.13-2Chron.5)
c. A time of victory, and being more than conquers before the Lord. Also a time of cooperatrion
from the people of those lands. (
d. This was a time for Israel to set their priorities correctly. (1Chron.13:3)
e. A time to "focus" on God's Purpose and not our own. God's Purpose was to bring Israel out
to bring them into the Land and be planted
f. A warning in the Church at Loadicea They had lost their focus and consumed it's prosperity
on themselves. (Rev.3:14-22, Deut.6:10-12) They had shut Jesus (and all that He is) outside
the Church
2. This was a time of paying the full price for the building site. (1Chron.21:18-27, 2Chron.3:1)
a. This compares to Samson paying the full price, the total commitment unto the Lord, to die
to himself. (Judges.16:29-31) Note: Luke.14:25-30
b. (Eternal Judgment - The 6th. lock of Samson's hair)
3. David was told his generation would prepare for the final purpose of God, and pass on the
pattern of the Temple for the next generation (Solomon's generation) would be witness.
(1Chron.22:1-19)
a. David was told he would not see the Temple, but there was one individual
that did continued into Solomon's generation by the name of Zadok. (Note: Ezek.44:9-16)
b. .
4. David's generation defeated the enemy and subdued them in order for Solomon to build the
House of God uninterrupted. (1Chron.17-2Chron.5)
a. This would be compared with Samson taking hold of the two pillars that held up the Temple
of dagon / the god of this world. (Judges.16:29)
5. Note: There will be those like Adonijah that tried to exalt themselves to the place of authority
and preeminence in this next, and final move of God. (1Kings.1:1-39)
