This series is designed to follow "line upon line"
(Isa.9-10)
As you begin with Phase One and systematically study each phase until the Conclusion, you will see a great Master plan (i.e. blueprint)
that the Spirit of God (2Tim.3:16-17) has "sketched out" for us in the Old Testament "ensamples." (types, shadows 1Cor.10:11) When
this
                  Great Master Plan
is studied and compared with Church History, we can see where the Church have come from, where the Church is now
                  and where the Church going.

The Feast of Pentecost (Phase 9 of 12) Page 2 of 3

Continued from Page. 1
This Feast of Harvest was a "new meat (food) offering
."

Remember: This is a model (type, blueprint, ensample) of the day of Pentecost. "Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord.
Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the Lord. (Lev 23:16-18)

1.  What is a meat offering?
The "meat" offering was a food (for man or beast), especially bread or grain (for making)1
     W
hen "any will offer a meat (food) offering unto the Lord, his offering shall be of fine flour; and
he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense thereon:
And he shall bring it to Aaron's sons the
priests and he shall take thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil thereof, with all
the frankincense thereof; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar, to be an
offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord:
(Lev 2:1-2)

a.  This food Offering foreshadows our humanity (flesh / good works, efforts)
There were five offerings (Lev.1-5) that the Priesthood offered unto te Lord. There was
the Sin Offering, the Trespass Offering, the Burnt Offering, the Meal / Meat Offering and
          the Peace Offering.
          (1)  The Sin offering - Our Salvation, confessing our sin
          (2)  The Trespass Offering - Our faults and offenses towards God and other Christians
          (3)  The Burnt Offering - Our consecration, separation unto the Lord.
          (4)  The Peace Offering - Our Worship and Prayer
          (5)  The meal / meat offering - Our good works, giving of material things which has

nothing to do with atonement for sin, our trespasses or our consecration unto the Lord.

                 (Lev.2:1-2; 9:4,17; 14:10, 20, 31. Lev.25:6, Num.6:13.
                 1Kings.8:4, Neh.10:33, Joel.2:14,  Mal.3:10)
 Our Sin was
                 atoned for at Passover. (John.20:1-31, v.22, 1Cor.5:7-8,
                 John.3:1-6)

It is the structure and the formation of the Church
(Humanity / the new Meal Offering) as the Body of
Christ, with of Christ being the head. (Eph.1:22-23,
                 Col.2:17-18)

     b.  It was NEW because it had leaven baked in
This would seem to be a contradiction because "
No meat
offering, which ye shall bring unto the Lord, shall be made
with leaven: for ye shall burn no leaven, nor any honey, in any
offering of the Lord made by fire."
(Lev.2:11) This was no
contradiction, it was a prophetic type foretelling the leaven

that would be in the first Century Church.
          (1)  Leaven
Leaven is the frailty and weakness of our humanity, the
old man, the flesh that is "enmity (hostile) against God: for
it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can
                 be." (Rom.8:7) Review: Unleavened Bread
                 (a)  The leaven of "doctrine." (Matt 16:11-13, Rom.16:17, 1Tim.1:3, 10, 2John.1:9)
                 (b)  The leaven of "hypocrisy."(Luke 12:1, 1Tim.4:2, Gal.2:11-14, Jam.3:17)
                 (c)  The leaven of "unbelief in the supernatural"(Mark 12:18-19, Acts.23:5-9)
                 (d)  The leaven of "malice and wickedness."(1 Cor 5:6-9, 1Peter.2:1, Col.3:8)
                 (e)  The leaven of "entangled with the yoke of bondage" (Gal 5:6-9)
                  (f)  The leaven of "compromise".(Mark 8:15-16)

Conclusion: Leaven is the frailty and weakness of our humanity, the old man, the
flesh that is "enmity (hostile) against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither
                        indeed can be." (Rom.8:7) Humanity.

All these "leavens" were present in the Pentecostal,
1st Century Church. Foreshadowed by this Feast.

          (3)  Note: There was NO Leaven in Passover or Tabernacles
                 (a)  Because Passover points to (foreshadows) or is the blueprint for the sinless
                        perfect Son of God
                 (b)  Because Tabernacles points to (foreshadows) the Church, the Bride, the "
glorious
church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; (just like Jesus - 1John.3:2,
                        Rom.8:28-
29) but that it should be holy and without blemish."
(
Eph 5:27-28) equally
yoked with Jesus. (2Cor.6:14) As Eve was for the "first Adam." (1Cor.15:45,
                        2Cor.11:1-3, Eph.5:32)

Right now the Church is full of "Leaven"
(Review: Phase Two for explanation of Chart)

It was "new" offering

A New Testament. Not in the sense that God was changing His mind about His Old Testament laws because when Jesus came He said, "Think not that I am come to destroy  the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." (Matt.5:17) The Old Testament / Covenant continues in it's reality in Christ and His Church. (Eph.1:22-23; 2:1-22; 3:1-12) It is a New Testament because it was "things not as seen yet" but in harmony with the Old Covenant /
Testament.(Rom.3:21-31; 16:25-26, Acts.28:20-23)

1.  It is a New Testament / Covenant. (Matt.26:28, 1Cor.11:15)
2.  It is a New and living way. (Heb.9:15; 10:20; 12:24)
3.  We are able ministers of the New Testament / Covenant. (2Cor.3:6, Heb.8:8)
4.  We become a new creation in Christ. (2Cor.5:17, Gal.6:15)
5.  The Jew and Gentile together in Christ as one new man. (Eph.2:15)

Note: It was new to the "Jews, and with the devout persons."(Acts 17:17-21) It was
      new to "the
of the Pharisees which believed" (Acts.15:5) when God brought in the
Gentiles to the Church.(Acts.10-14) It was new to Peter when he was told to eat the
      unclean beasts in his vision.
(Acts.10:9-48) However this was not new to God.
This was according to the pattern, the one single minded purpose of God. (Eph.3:1-12)

There were two wave loaves

"Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the Lord."
(Lev 23:17-18) The typical model is foreshadowing the thought of the Jew and the Gentile would be brought together as "one new man" in Christ Jesus. (Eph.2:1-19)
"As the new meal offering, the Jew and the Gentile come together in the new Covenant, receive a new name, and speak in new tongues and finally are brought to the new earth and the new Jerusalem with God making all things new."
( Kevin J. Conner - The Feasts of Israel, p.39)

1.  This was God purpose "from the beginning of the world."

That "the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in
Christ by the gospel: (Eph 3:6-7)
And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery,
which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus
     Christ:
(Eph 3:9-10) Note: Eph.2:1-19  Eph 3:9-10.
To the intent (purpose) that now unto
the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold
     wisdom of God,
According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our
     Lord:"
(Eph.3:1-12)

2.  What happens to the Jews that reject Christ?

They "also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in
     again.
(Rom 11:23-24)
Graffed into what? Graffed into the purpose the God has had from the
beginning of the world. (Note: The "olive tree" is God's purpose!) Review:

Joel also speaks of the next and final feast, Tabernacles

According to the blueprint (pattern, type, model) the Feast of Tabernacles is yet ahead of  the Church. (At the time of writing these notes)

         .
1.  The latter rain is the Feast of Tabernacle language. (Joel.2:23-27, Deut.11:14)

2.
The wine and oil / Joy / fruit is the Feast of Tabernacle language. (Joel.2:23-27, Lev.26:3-5)

3.  Blowing trumpet in Zion. (Joel.2:1, 15, Num.10:10) Remember: In the blueprint,
David's Tabernacle was in Mt.Zion was just before Solomon dedicated the Temple in
the Feast that was in the seventh month. (Tabernacles)

4.  Sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly. This the Feast of Tabernacle language. (Joel.2:15,
      Lev.23:36)

5.  Let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of closet.
(Joel.2:16)
The reason that the Bride is Feast of Tabernacle language is because the marriage of Christ
and His Church is the ultimate purpose. (2Cor.11:1-3, Eph.5:21-3, Rev.19:7)
Solomon's Temple was the ultimate purpose of coming into the Land. (Gen.12:1; 15:1- 22,
     Exod.1-12, Deut.12:1-12, 1Chron.17:1-15; 22:1-19)
Solomon dedicated the Temple in the feast
that is in the seventh month, (2Chron.5:3) which is Tabernacles.
(Lev.23:23-44)

6.
Sun dark, moon blood great day of God is last day "language." (Joel.2:30-32, Note: Rev.6:12)
