The Law of Marriage for the High Priest (Page.1 of 2)
The Law (of the high priest) has not been destroyed.
Jesus said, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, (the marriage for the high priest) or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, (the marriage for the high priest) but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot ("iota", the name of the eighth letter of the Greek alphabet)1 or one tittle (the apex of a Hebrew letter (figuratively, the least particle): shall in no wise pass from the law, (of the marriage for the high priest) till all be fulfilled. (Matt 5:17-19)
The Law of marriage for the high priest is fulfilled in Christ our High Priest
There are many more examples
This marriage Law was a schoolmaster to brings us to Christ. (Gal.3:24) This Law
(Lev.21:10-15) bears witnesses (Rom.3:21-31) to how the Holy Spirit is preparing a Bride for the Lord Jesus Christ "our High Priest." (Heb.3:1) The Law is one witness, Grace is another witness,
"that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. (Deut.19:15,
Eccl.4:12, Matt.18:16, 2Cor.13:1)
1. Grace does not fight against this Law of the marriage for the high priest They are both in harmony because Christ fulfilled (completed) it. (Matt.5:17-19, Rom.3:31)
He did not destroy it! As a "new creature (creation) in Christ Jesus" (2Cor.5:17-21) neither
should we! This "righteous" (Rom.3:21; 8:1-4) pattern of marriage for the high priest is
"ordained to life...holy...just...good...(and)..spiritual..." (Rom.7:7-14)
2. The pattern of the Law of marriage, brings reproof, correction, righteousness For "by the Law (of the marriage of the high priest) is the knowledge of sin," (Rom.3:20,
2Tim.3:16-17) i.e. the corrections that I need to make in my preparation as a Bride. Paul said,
"I had known sin," (Rom.7:7) or these corrections as a Bride (Eph.5:27-33) without the
"righteous" (Rom.8:4) pattern of marriage for the high priest. (1Cor.10:11, Rom.15:4, Heb.10:1)
3. Many think the Church will become the Bride in "the twinkling of an eye."
The "twinkling of an eye" only takes care of our mortal bodies, it has nothing to do with our
preparation as a Bride. (Review: "What about the Rapture?" Page 1 of 2)
4. Today the Church is not a "Glorious" Bride! Common sense tells us that! There must be another visitation of God before she is "presented"
as Eve was to Adam. (One thing is for sure, we are closer than any other generation has
ever been.)
"He shall take a wife in her virginity" (Lev.21:13)
"And he shall take a wife in her virginity. A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife. Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the Lord do sanctify him. (Lev 21:13-16)
1. The apostle and "wise masterbuilder"interprets theChurch to be a "virgin." For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may
present you as a chaste virgin to Christ But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled
Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
(2 Cor 11:2-4, 1Cor.3:1,10)
a. Jealously (2Cor.11:2)
The word "jealous" in (2Cor.11:3) is properly, heat, i.e. (figuratively) "zeal" (in a favorable
sense, ardor; in an unfavorable one, jealousy, as of a husband [figuratively, of God], or an
enemy, malice):2 The word "jealous" in (1Cor.10:22, Rom.10:19; 11:11) is to stimulate
alongside, i.e. excite to rivalry. God does not want us to have "no other gods before"
Him. (Exod.20:3) He wants us to be faithful to Him. He does not want an open marriage!
b. Espoused (2Cor.11:3)
To be "espoused" is to be engaged. However "engagement" today does not carry the
seriousness of when Mary was "espoused" to Joseph. He had the authority of a husband
over Mary (Matt.1:19, Deut.24:1) even though they had not "known" her. (Matt.1:25, Note:
Gen.4:1) The Lord Jesus Christ has this same authority over the "espoused" Church today.
Note: As of today's date the Church is "espoused"(i.e. engaged) andhas not been
presented (Eph.5:21-33) yet. She is not married yet. We are only "espoused."
c. A chaste virgin (2Cor.11:2)
The word "chaste" means to be clean, modest, perfect. The Ephesians were told that the
Church was to "come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: (Eph.4:11-16) The
Church is to be without spot, blemish, wrinkle or any such thing. (Eph.5:27) This is
the "perfect" (becoming a man) that is to come.(1Cor.13:9-12)
2. Think on this! There will be a marriageof
Christ our High Priest (Heb.3:1)
Jesus (the Bridegroom) said, "verily I say unto
you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot ("iota"- the name of the eighth letter of the Greek
alphabet1 or one tittle (the apex of a Hebrew
letter (figuratively, the least particle): shall in
no wise pass from the law, (of the marriage
for the high priest) till all be fulfilled.
(Matt 5:17-19)
a. To the last detail. (i.e. jot and title)
b. There will be a marriage
There will be a marriage of Christ our High
Priest (Heb.3:1) and His "chaste"
Church, because God is a finisher.
(Luke.14:25-33, He will complete His
purpose. (Note: Gal.6:7 and the word,
"mocked" Rev.19:7) There will be a
"chaste" (clean, modest, perfect)
Church beforethe marriage!Today the
Church is more like Laodicea (Rev.3:14-
22) than a "chaste" virgin! (2Cor.11:2)
Therefore there will be a "shaking"
(Heb.12:27, Haggai.2:6) and a cleansing of God's Church (Sanctuary Dan.8:14) because
Christ cannot marry the Church in it's present state. He would have to deny Himself. (His
Word. 2Tim.2:13, Matt.5:17-19, Heb.3:1, Lev.21:10-13)
Note: Some are looking forward to become a chaste virgin, in the "twinkling of an eye."
However, this is only our mortal bodies becoming immortal at Christ's return. It has not nothing
to do with being presented as a "chaste virgin." (Review: Conclusion, Page.5)
A Widow, divorced, profane, or an harlot he shall NOT take!
He (the High Priest) shall take a wife in her virginity. A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife. Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the Lord do sanctify him. (Lev 21:13-16)
1. Shall not take a Widow Jesus, "our High Priest" (Heb.3:1) will fulfill
this Law in His Marriage to the Church.
(Matt.5:17-19) A Widow is no longer a
"virgin," even though she free to
marry again. (Rom.7:1-4) Jesus, our High
Priest" (Heb.3:1) gave Himself to prepare us
(Eph.5:25-33) to be a "chaste virgin"
(2Cor.11:1-3) in order to qualify us to be
married to Him.
2. Shall not take a Divorced Woman Jesus, "our High Priest" (Heb.3:1) will fulfill
this Law in His marriage to the Church.
(Matt.5:17-19)
a. The Jews cannot be in the Bride.
These are the "children of the flesh of
Abraham" (Rom.9:6-8) God wrote them
a "bill of divorce,"(Jer.3:8, Matt.5:31-32)
disqualifying them from being in the Bride
of Christ. (Lev.21:10-15) They will have to
accept Christ5 and be presented as a
chaste virgin to be in the Bride.
(Acts.28:20)
b. We cannot be in the Bride if we have
been spiritually divorced.
Jesus has to power to divorce those that
are friends with this World because we
are "espoused" to Him. In the eyes of the
Lord, the Bridegroom has the power to divorce the ("espoused") Bride to be if
there has been unfaithfulness. As in the
example of Mary and Joseph. (Matt.1:18-25) Joseph had the authority to divorce Mary
(Deut.24:1-4) before the wedding. He "was minded to put her away privily." (Matt.1:19-20)
for her (supposed) adultery because he was "a just man, and not willing to make her a publick
example."
Note: This is why the doctrine of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture is a false hope, because it
assumes the "twinkling of an eye" (1Cor.15:51-52)prepares us as a Bride. This doctrine is
either ignorant of this law, or willfully rejects it. The fact remains that God will not deny
(2Tim.2:13) His patterns. Jesus WILL fulfill (Matt.5:17-19) this law of marriage! Those
that place their hope is in the "twinkling of an eye," will miss the marriage as the five foolish
virgins did. (Matt.25:1-13)

c. Spiritual adultery that is grounds for Jesus to divorce us
There is a "spiritual adultery." James wrote, "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that
the friendship (fondness) of the world ( i.e. thelust of the flesh, eyes and pride of life - 1John 2:16-17) is enmity (i.e hostile) with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend (or fond)
of the world is the enemy of God. (James 4:4) God divorced (Jer.3:8) Israel (the children of
the flesh of Abraham - Rom.9:8) for their "adultery." He has not changed His principles.
(Mal.3:6, Jam.1:17) Note: The Church today is like Samson.
(1) The lust of the flesh defined
Lust is a longing for what is forbidden and is not just not restricted to sexual behaviour.
The "lust" applies to everything concerning the flesh. (Note: Gal.5:16-17)

19, Lev.21:13-16)

Jam.1:19, 1Tim.2:8, Matt.5:17-19, Lev.21:13-16)
(l) The flesh is strife If we are a "friend" (fond of) strife (contention, intrigue, conspiracy, plot, deception,

(p) The flesh is murders If we are a "friend" (fond of) murder (to kill, slaughter) we exclude ourselves from

Friendship (or having a fondest) with " any such like..." (Gal.5:21) of these works
of the flesh will divorce you from being 'espoused" (engaged) from being married
to Christ! Note: The harlots of this world go into to kingdom before Pharisees
(Matt.21:31-32) because of grace. Many have the form but still are fond of the world!
You are not accepted in the "beloved" (the Bride Eph.1:6, Heb.12:22, / Heb.11:10,
Gal.4:21-31, Rev.20:9; 21:9-10) because of your "good works" (Eph.2:10,
Matt.5:13-16) You are accepted because of God's "grace!" Note: Noah.
. God foreshadowed this conflict of the flesh against the Spirit. (Gal.5:16-17) (Review: Phase.2 for why Israel's journey foreshadows the 1st.Century Church, the
Restoration of the Church and our personal walk before the Lord)
