"And I saw...a beast [antichrist] rise out of the sea."
"And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority."
(Rev 13:1-3) Review: Eschatology One, Phase.10 for expanation of chart below

1. What does the Bible mean by "beast?"
a. The word "beast" means a dangerous animal.1 It has been translated into the KJV as
(venomous, wild) beast. (Rev 13:1-3) Note: It is no coincidence the man was created on the
same day as "the beast the earth." (The 6th.day - Gen.1:24-31)
b. Paul said, "after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus."
(1 Cor 15:32-33) This word is, to be a beast-fighter (in the gladiatorial show), i.e.
(figuratively) to encounter (furious men)
c. Peter said, "these, (false prophets, teachers, following the way of Balaam) as natural
brute beasts,2 made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that the
understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption." (2 Peter 2:12-13,
Note: Jude.1:1-12)
d. Jude says, "these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know
naturally, as brute beasts,2 in those things they corrupt themselves.Woe unto them! for
they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward,
and perished in the gainsaying of Core." (Jude 10-12)
e. John said, the beasts number was the "number of a man." (Rev.13:8)
f. The "beasts" of Rev.18:13 is referring to a animal of the field.
g. There are other beasts2 mention in Rev.4:6; 5:6-14; 6:1, 6, 8; 7:11; 14:3; 15:7; 19:4
These were giving "glory and honor and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for
ever and ever." (Rev 4:9-10) These "beasts" have nothing to do with the "beast" of Rev.13.
2. This beast ( Rev.13:1) is the antichrist
There are two beasts mentioned in Rev.13. One is the antichrist, (Rev.13:1-10) and the other is
the false prophet. (Rev.13:11-18; 19:20) This "beast" (Rev.13:1-10) is the antichrist because:
a. It is the same "beast" as in Rev.11, 13, 14, 17
(1) Ascends "out of the bottomless pit." (Rev.11:7; 17:8)
(2) All the world was to receive his mark. (Rev.13:17; 14:9)
(3) All was to wonder and worship him. (Rev.13:4; 17:8)
(4) The son of perdition. (Rev.17:8, 11. 2Thes.2:3. Note: Judas / John.17:12)
(5) Opposes and exalts himself above all the is called God. (2Thes.2:4, Rev.13:1-9)
(6) Revealed in his time. (2Thes.2:6, Rev.13:5)
b. The apostle John calls him the "antichrist." (1John.2:18)
"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now
are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us,
but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us:
(think of Judas) but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of
us. (1John 2:18-20)
(1) The word "antichrist" means an opponent of the Messiah.
(2) John says, "that antichrist" shall come." The only one that fits this description in the last
days, is the "beast" of Rev.11, 13, 14, and 17.
(3) There were "many antichrists" during the 1st.century, as there are today, however they
are not "the" antichrist."
Note: The "antichrist's went out from us, that they might be made manifest"
Their falling away reveal who they were. Before this they looked the same as everyone else.
(Think of the wheat and the tares parable.- Matt.13:24-30, 36-43)
What is the Sea, that the antichrist (beast) rises from?
"And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven
heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of
blasphemy." (Rev.13:1) The Sea is people, kindreds, nations, tongues
1. Those like Cain, Balaam, Korah (people) are like "raging weaves of the Sea." (Jude.1:12-13)
2. And "in that day they (Nations / people. v.26) shall roar against them like the roaring of the
sea." (Isa 5:30)
3. For" though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea." (Isa 10:22-23)
The beast (antichrist) was like a leopard, bear and Lion.
The "beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority." (Rev 13:2-3) When overlaying each of Daniel's visions:
( Review: Daniel Phase 5, page.2 )
1. The Leopard is the Media-Persia Empire. (Dan.2:39; 7:6; 8:20; 11:1-2)
2. The Bear is the Empire of Greece. (Dan.2:39; 7:5; 11:2)
3. The Lion is the Babylonian Empire. (Dan.2:39; 7:4)
4. These are all mixed together into that 4th. and dreadful kingdom, headed by the antichrist
( Review: Daniel Phase 5, page.2 )
5. The dragon is Satan that gives the beast (antichrist) his power, seat and authority.
(Rev.12:9; 13:2)
Note: Daniel saw the "stone...cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet
that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, (Rome to
the last day kingdoms) the brass, (Greece) the silver, (Media-Persia) and the gold,
(Babylon) broken to pieces together..." (Dan 2:34-36) This places the "image" (which
includes Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece and that "dreadful and terrible" 4th. kingdom / Rome to
the last day kingdoms) at the time of the Second Coming. Some may say, "I thought Babylon,
Greece, Media-Persia and Rome were History to us?" Yes they were. What Daniel is seeing in
these visions is an inclusion of these political systems in the antichrist system in the last days.
Review: Daniel Phase 5, page.2

One of his heads as it were wounded to death
"And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." (Rev 13:3-4)
1. The "seed" of the woman wounded the dragon's head to death
God said, "I will put enmity between thee (the serpent) and the woman, and between thy (the
serpent's) seed and her (the woman's) seed; it (the "seed" / the man child) shall bruise thy
head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." (Gen 3:15-16) This came to pass when the "man child"
was caught up unto God, and His Throne. Review: Eschatology Two. Phase.12, Page.2
a. It (the seed of the woman / man child)
The seed of the woman / man child) shall bruise the serpents head. "And I saw one of his
heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world
wondered after the beast."(Rev.13:3)
b. And thou (the serpent) shall bruise his heel.
This is the war against the saints. (Rev.12:17, Dan.7:25, Rev.13 :7) "The remnant of her
seed." (this is the "heel")
c. Who are these saints?" ("the remnant" Rev.12:17)
There is a clearly two groups of "saints." There is those who "keep the commandments
of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ." (Rev.12:1-17) This group is protected
from the antichrist. Then there are those that the antichrist wears out, and kills because
they refused his mark. (Rev.13:5, Dan.7:25, Rev.12:17) Even in Rev.20:9 there is "the
Beloved City (the Bride - Rev.21:9-10) and the camp of the saints."
(1) These are the five foolish virgins. (Matt.25:1-13)
(2) These are those that refused the "wedding garment." (Matt.22:1-14, Note:v.12)
(3) These are those that made excuses for not coming to the wedding. (Luke.14:15-24)
(4) These are those that refuse to measure up to the stature of Christ. (Eph.4:11-16)
(5) These are those that refused the "washing of the Word" to remove their spots and
blemishes. (Eph.5:21-33)
(6) They are like Lot and built with Wood, Hay and stubble. (Luke.17:28, 1Cor.3:9-15)
The beast (antichrist) had seven heads
"And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
(Rev 13:1-2)
1. The significance of "seven"
Wherever "seven" us used in God's Word, it is always associated with the thought of
completeness, fullness, or the end. (Gen.2:1-3, Lev.16:14, Lev.16:19, 30-31, Josh.6:12-15,
2Kings.5:8-14, Rev.10:7; 11:15 / Rev 10:7-8; 11:15, Rev.17:9) The Book of Revelation is full
of "sevens" (Rev.4:5, Rev 5:6) because it is the end, the finish, the completion of God's
Redemptive plan.
"And here is the mind which hath wisdom..." (Rev.17:9)
2. These 7 heads are 7 mountains, "on which the woman sitteth." (Rev.17:9)
a. These 7 heads are "signifying" (Rev.1:1) the antichrist's complete and full control over his
apostate, counterfeit Church, "Mystery Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots." (Rev.17:9)
The false Bride. Here are the reasons why:
(1) A "Woman" typifies a Church, True or false. (Eph.5:21-33, 2Cor.11:3) The prophet
Jeremiah prophesied that God was "a husband" unto the "church in the wilderness."
(Jer.31:32, Acts.7:38)
(2) Remember: Satan always copies. "I will be like." (Isa.14:11-14) Review: Page.4
(3) The Harlot woman is lawless and not committed to the laws of Marriage, yet presenting
herself as married.
(4) She (i.e. the false bride / Church) is sitting on and carried by the beast, (antichrist)
(Rev.17:9) imitating The Lord Jesus Christ who gave Himself for (Matt.20:25-28)
the Church (Eph.1:22-23, Col.1:18)
Note: The combination of the "MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF
HARLOTS" (the apostate Church) and the beast. (the antichrist Rev.17:1-18)
She is sitting on the beast. (Rev.17:3) Remember, this is the woman "left!" (Matt.24:40-41)
(Click here for explanation of this order of events in Revelation)

b. Mountains are always in association with kingdoms. (Psa.48:1-3) Isaiah speaks of the
"mountain of the Lord's House." (Isa.2:1-2)This kingdom that the antichrist is the head of,
is completely and fully evil. An imitation of the Kingdom of God where Christ is the head.
c. The prophet Daniel saw (Dan.7:19-25) the antichrist (little horn) only involved with the
kingdoms of this world, and was told to "shut up the words, and seal the book...until the
time of the end."(Dan.12:4) The apostle John (at the "time of the end") saw this sealed
"book" opened, (Rev.4:1-14; 6:1) which unveiled more concerning the antichrist. (beast)
The "man of sin" will be a combination of the apostate Church and the kingdoms
of this world.
Note: Some only see the antichrist as a world leader of the kingdoms of this world.
However, he is also a world leader of the apostate Church. This should be no surprise
because, Lucifer said, "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of
God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High." (Isa 14:13-15)
d. What is the "congregation in the sides of the north?"
"Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north,
the city of the great King." (Psa. 48:2-3) What is Mount Zion?
(1) A mountain taken by king David. (1Chron.11:1-5)
(2) Mount Zion was within the City walls of Jerusalem. (2Sam.5:7, 1Chron.11:4-5)
(3) Isaiah wrote, "Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offense: and whosoever
believeth on him shall not be ashamed." (Isa.28:16) Paul (the wise master builder and
architect) interprets this to be Jesus. (Rom 9:33)
(4) Jesus is the "cornerstone" that has been laid in the Zion / Church. (Eph.2:20-22,
1Peter.2:6-8)
(5) Man of sin will sit in the Temple of God (2Thes.2:4) which is the Church, Zion, the
congregation in the sides of the North. There is no other Temple.
(Acts.7:47-48;
17:24)
(6) This will cause a "falling away," (2Thes.2:3) as the antichrist apostates (falls) "out from"
(1John.2:19) the Church. (The Temple of God - John.2:18-20, Acts.7:47-48, 1Cor.6:19,
Eh.2:20-22, 1Peter.2:5) This is where the Rev.17 Woman enters the picture. The
counterfeit, apostate Church. (Note: Chart below)

The name of blasphemy
"And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy." (Rev.13:1)
1. What is blasphemy?
"The sense of speaking evil of God this word is found in Ps 74:18; Isa 52:5; Rom 2:24;
Rev 13:1,6; 16:9,11,21.
a. It denotes also any kind of calumny, or evil-speaking, or abuse (1 Kings.21:10; Acts 13:45;
Acts.18:6, etc.).
b. Jesus was accused of blasphemy when he claimed to be the Son of God (Matt 26:65; comp.
Matt 9:3; Mark 2:7). They who deny his Messiahship blaspheme Jesus (Luke 22:65;
John 10:36).
c. Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost (Matt 12:31,32; Mark 3:28,29; Luke 12:10) is regarded
by some as a continued and obstinate rejection of the gospel, and hence is an unpardonable
sin, simply because as long as a sinner remains in unbelief he voluntarily excludes himself from
pardon. Others regard the expression as designating the sin of attributing to the power of
Satan those miracles which Christ performed, or generally those works which are the result of
the Spirit's agency. 7
2. The name means to Character, who the person is
Throughout God's Word, the name meant the character (nature, quality, temperament,
personality, disposition, moral fiber, make up) of the person.
a. Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. (Gen 3:20-
b. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a
father of many nations have I made thee. (Gen 17:5-6)
c. Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God
and with men, and hast prevailed. (Gen 32:28-29)
d. Jesus - "and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."
(Matt 1:23-24) Jesus was "God manifest in the flesh" (1Tim.3:16)
e. Peter was called "Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone." (John.1:42) Later Jesus called
him "Peter," which means a (piece of) rock. This can be seen in Peter's life. A stone
(Matt.26:69-75 ) A piece of the rock (Acts.2:14)
The "beast" has ten horns and ten crowns
"And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads
and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
(Rev 13:1-2)
1. These ten horns are ten kings.(Rev.17:12)
2. They were on the beast (antichrist) which has "power to continue forty two months."
(Rev.13:1-5) Therefore, they belong in the forty two months given to the "beast." (the antichrist)
3. These are the ten toes (ten kings) of Nebuchadnezzar's Image. (Dan.2:31-45)

4. According to Dan7:1-28, these ten kings develop out of the "fourth beast, which was
diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful." (Dan 7:19) When overlaying each of Daniel's
visions, and comparing this with History, this forth beast is Rome. (Note: How to two legs
reach out to the last day.) Review: Daniel's Visions. Phase 5, Pages 1-5
a. There is a key verse in this vision. "The fourth beast shall be the fourth5 kingdom
upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth,
and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. (Dan 7:23-24)
b. This means that this "fourth" kingdom must "devour the whole earth before there can be
ten kings (Dan.7:24-25) and the "little horn" (antichrist) revealed. John saw this same order.
When the "beast" (antichrist) is reveal, he has power over all kindreds, and tongues, and
nations, (Rev.13:7) because the "fourth" kingdom had "devoured the whole earth.
The dragon gave him his power / seat / authority
"And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority."
(Rev 13:1-3)
1. The dragon is identified as Satan
"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which
deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
(Rev 12:9-10)
2. The dragon (Satan) "gave him" (the antichrist) his power
Lucifer is giving his "antichrist" lying counterfeit power.8 A counterfeit anointing of how God
the Father anointed Jesus as the "Christ," (the anointed) giving Him His power. (Matt.3:16,
Acts.10:38, John.1:35-41)
Note: Remember:Lucifer wants to be "like the most High." Isa.14:14)
The beasts deadly wound was healed
John said, "I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? (Rev 13:3-5) (Biblesoft's New Exhaustive Strong's Numbers and Concordance with Expanded Greek-Hebrew Dictionary. Copyright © 1994, 2003, 2006 Biblesoft, Inc. and International Bible Translators, Inc.)
1. Deadly wound being healed brought worship to the dragon
This "deadly wound" to the head (Gen.3:15, Rom.16:20) was miraculously "healed," which
brought worship to the dragon / satan. (Rev.13:3-5) This is what he has wanted since he was
cast ot the mountain of God. (Isa.14:11-14, Ezel28:11-19)
2. "All the world" wondered after the beast / antichrist.
It is the miracles, his false anointing, not his polictical skills that brings the whole world
together. (Note:Rev.16:12-16) Another copy / counterfeit of the true Church Of Christ.
a. The true Church of Christ
"And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be
established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and
all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go
up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his
ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the
Lord from Jerusalem." (Isa 2:2-4) Review: Phase 2 / Phase 6
(1) A Church with power, signs and wonders. (Acts.2:17, Joel.2:28)
(2) A Church that has apostles, prophets laying the foundation Jesus Christ. (Eph.4:11-16)
(3) Gathering all nations. (Matt.24:15, Isa.2:1-2) Review: Phase 2
(4) A Bride. (Eph.5:21-33, Rev.12)
b. The Church of the antichrist
"I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed:
and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshiped the dragon which gave
power unto the beast" (Rev 13:3-5)
(1) A false (apostate) Church falls away from the true Church with counterfeit power, lying
signs and lying wonders (Review: Page.4 for description of antichrist)
(2) A false Church with false apostles, prophets laying the foundation, antichrist. (Page.4)
(3) Gathering all nations. (Rev.13:7; 16:14)
(4) A false Bride. (Rev.17)
(Click here for full explanation of chart below)
"Let them both grow together until the harvest..."
Both look the same just as the "tares" do the "wheat" until they come to maturity! (Matt.13:30)
